no more HIDs for me...:(
For the time being anyway. If you remember, I posted a thread before about how one side of my headlights wasn't working. The next day though, it was working again. Well, just the other day, the driver side headlight wasn't working again. And again, the high beam indicator light was flashing. Before anyone say it, no I didn't have the high beam on, if I did both sides would not work, not just the driver side. The next thing I checked again and it still didn't work. So taking Freddie(97GLES)suggestions, I swap the red box from the good side to the bad side and see if it made any difference. Nope. Next I tried swapping the blue box, it didn't work either. Then, I swap back the blue box from the good side back to the good side and guess what? Now both sides won't work! Great! WTH? So does this mean both blue boxes are the cause of this? Anyway, I got tired and put back my old hyperwhite bulbs back in. The headlights worked again, so it couldn't be the headlight harness, so stratch that idea. When I took out the HID unit, the HID bulbs looked fine to me, no sign of damage. Btw, it's not the fuses(I put 25amp fuses in the day on the install)or any loose connections, I checked all of that. Any ideas?
This really sucks having to go back with the old bulbs. I got my first hand to see what it's like to go from the HIDs back to the regular bulbs. I'm definitely going to have to solve this problem with the HIDs because just one night back with the regular bulbs, I got sick of them. For those who are thinking of selling their HIDs, don't! Trust me on that.
