Why is there always so much discussion about a Roots type blower. It wont fit our car unless someone designs a custom intake manifold and wants to put a hole in the hood. They are nice though, the 03' Cobra is putting something like 390 hp to the wheels. Looks like Ford underrated the engine after the disaster they created with earlier Cobras.

It would fit only as an entire manifold-replacement piece, as it would have to reside in-between the 'V', ala Mercedes C32 AMG. The R&D cost and relatively low demand would probably price the kit around $10, give or take. Not worth it unfortunately.

So yes, the cheapest way is to cut a hole in the hood.
