Personally, I'm a Bel fan. My 880 has continued to serve me well with the same RF performance as the 9xx's with just less doo-dad's all for less than $200.
Radar detectors can only do so much for you so I've always thought that the V1 is overkill, although the unique features it has are pretty neat
