Maximum Tuning VB GD
I personally seem to have noticed a difference both ways.
Also to clarify with regards to my prior post about the "hardest" setting; I wasn't putting it down as it depends on your needs and what you want to do with your car. Just a hands-on experience reminder that the farther you go with your car sometimes, the more wear you can put on certain components. Option 3 I would recommend to hardcore racers only
Either way the VB is a must if you want your tranny to shift correctly, and even though Don is doing it for $350 now, he doesn't communicate with his customers, much less listen to them when they ask for their money back after waiting more than just a couple of months for their product to be sent to them. I paid the guy and had to send him about a dozen mails before getting sick of it and deciding to find another means to get my VB done (and the guy that I handed it off to had not much better luck).
I made the drive from the other side of the great lakes (about 8 hours total when you count pit stops and 3pm NYC rush hour long weekend traffic) to Jeff's shop, and it certainly was worth it.
Happy modding people!

I live about 25min away. I dropped mines off on Fri night and picked it up Sat. morning.. Definitely worth the $$ for the mod. Off the line or just going WOT you feel the gears pop right in instead of that lagging shift..

We're doing these VB's on Altimas, Sentras and Toyotas too.
Jeff...are you still looking for 3rd gen guinea pigs? I just got clued onto this thread today actually. I would be more than willing to come up early october and donate the ride for a day or so. I'll probably have the solenoids done as well since I am at about 130K miles on the original tranny

Jeff: Appointment on October 18 or 19
Jeff,
I want to call you for this, but I want to confirm my appointment on either the 18/19. I will be driving from Milwaukee to Glen Cove on Friday the 18. It will be a tranny flush, installing VB and solenoids, attaching the tranny cooler (it's here), and changing the fuel filter/PCV valve.
I will call you either tomorrow or Thursday this week to work the details. This post is just want to give you a heads up.
You know, which one is the better day? Friday 7pm the 18th? Or Saturday at 11am the 19th?
Thanks,
Armand

Blubyu, 2k2 is no prob. If you need a core I need to know if you have LSD or you can just give me the tranny code.
Will, stop beating on your car!!
