I999Maximagirl showed me the way to this link because I was thinking about doing this mod from Don but I am from Mass and could drive down to do this. Can we plan a saturday to do this maybe like the 26th of October. I can drive down in the morning. Let me know if I should call.

I was hesitant at first but went ahead with the mod. Def. quicker shifts from 1st to 2nd. the rest you can hardly tell. Im still not quite use to it yet, I still anticipate the hard shift. I dont mind it tho. The tranny fells stronger and if the vb prolongs the life of the tranny then its well worth it. It feels faster but i have no times to compare. Nice job Jeff, Thanks

 

thats good to hear...i talked to him last week and hopefully next week or the week after I will be getting mine done also. I would have loved to do it this week but i just got my wisdom teeth out today so it doesnt look like its gonna happen

btw.. do you have a tranny cooler? Mine should be in from jegs this week.

 

Yes I have a Hayden 404.I was short on time and didnt want to wait for jegs, but it seems to be working fine. Once you get it, ur gonna enjoy gunning it every chance you get. lol. be safe

i got mine in last week. it is barking the tires from first to second on hard acceleration. and when im going 65ish then go to pass a car, the whole front end just takes off. i love it. havent even got the s/c installed yet.

Sorry I ahvent been around much guys I've been going freakin crazy at the shop. The GD is on till the end of this week. If you can't make it this week you can an appointment before the end of the week for a later date and I'll give you the same price.

Yeah, we're definitly keepin busy. Many late nights at the shop thats for sure. I wish I was gettin richer, after rent, insurance, utilities forget about it. I'm gonna have to start charging 600 for these things

Ok, I need to get this VB (street/strip) soon since the UPS man is bringing my SC any day now. I was told I can either drive up there from MD or have it shipped. Is that right? I'm ready to place an order right now so I can have it installed asap. I'm guessing I would need new solenoids as well since my tranny is nearing 130K miles. Jeff, can you please tell me how much total would this be for the VB and solenoids? I'd rather have mine shipped than pay for gas and mileage to the shop from MD. Also, is this part of the group deal still or no? Thanks.

I have an auto, and i was wondering whether or not any of your vb are strong enough to withstand and hold up to having a turbo put on my 4th gen. i know there hasn't been anyone to do this as of yet, but i would rather get a turbo than a SC.

 

I had Jeff's VB on my SC Auto and so far so good.. I'm pushing 310whp and the tranny's holding up fine

what exactly goes into one of these valvbodies that make it shift faster and perform better? in other words what are you changing to make this a "valve body upgrade" ?

Ok, I have the Stage 2 with my SC and it shifts firm from 1-2, but 2-3 and 3-4 are somewhat smoother. I was thinking of switching for the stage 3. I know theres a difference in strength of shift between the stages, but is there a difference in transmission strengthening as well, for example, stage 3 will shift harder than stage 2, but will it also make the transmission stronger, or are they all the same?

Actually, after reading Jer's posts, I may decid to stay with the stage 2 if he's SC'ed and is worring about motor mounts and all. But still, does stage 3 strebgthen the tranny the most or no? Thanks.
