The muffler and tip are EXACTLY the same as the Greddy SP, I mean exact! They must have copied the design to a T!

I used some Mothers Polish and polished the tip and muffler up a little more, now they are gleaming and ready to be installed tomorrow

ThurzNite- if I wanted an Apex-i, I would have bought it
its not going to stay nice and pretty, escpecially up here in the Northeast. I know mine needs some "motherly care"

OK, it's installed!

I LOVE IT!!!

It's extremely quiet, even with my Y-pipe and CAI!!
There is a SLIGHT drone around 2500rpms, but I mean slight.

The rest of the power band sounds great, especially WOT

I would without a doubt recommend this cat-back, especially for the price. I compared it to ny96max's (Anthony's) Greddy SP, and it's the same in looks and sound, maybe even quieter.

I wonder if we could just get the b-pipe section?? I like that part of the exhaust but I don't like the thick tip of the exhaust, I was think if possible, get this bpipe and a different muffler.

Did you end up paying $250 for it? You really have me thinking about it. $250 vs. $500 for GReddy.

Hmmmmm, this whole setup sounds good. i am in the market for a catback system, and i loved my greddy sp catback on my last maxima, but i didn't want to spend that much money again on my new max. so this looks like it may be a way out for me, and anyone else who wants to save some money. i wish i could hear the setup though. but i have to agree that it does look alot like the greddy. anyway, i sent out an email to the seller asking how many of these he had, and what he could do for a price. hopefully i'll hear back from him soon. i think this is a good deal... i think i am gonna go for it. well i'll keep you updated.

Just wondering: did you get an OBX muffler or HKS? The auction title says HKS.

its supposedly an "HKS style" muffler whatever that means. I guess that it means that its a cannister muffler?

I paid $250 plus $29.83 shipping to NY.

After having it installed on Saturday, I drove 2.5 hours that night up to Foxwoods in CT, and back this morning so I got to here how it is on the highway.

The drone is VERY QUIET. Freddie, I'd be willing to bet this system is quiet enough for you, even my girlfriend said it's quiet, that's a shocker!! She was ready to rip my old exhaust off the car herself!

It looks IDENTICAL to the Greddy SP (I actually compared them in person to ny96max's and he was like ). The OBX has a slightly smaller tip (4" compared to 4.5" on the Greddy), but same design and shape. The muffler is identical, and everything is highly polished.

Fellas, I see no reason to buy the Greddy when this OBX system is so nice and so quiet. I absolutely love it! It is very, very smooth sounding as well.

e-mail me with any questions, I'll help you all out anyway I can.

Tony

That's cool that you're getting lower prices, but no one should mind paying $250.

$250 is an absolute STEAL for this system!!

yea, it does sound like a good deal. but do you really like this setup alot? i mean i am still alittle skeptical about the system, because i owned the greddy sp catback and i LOVED it and it gave a nice diffrence in power and sound... it was perfect with my y pipe and short ram, it was just enough w/o being anoying. but my question to you is have you heard the greddy and compared the diffrences in sound outside and inside? and also can you FEEL the diffrence in power? it is very important. i am going to get it either way because of your previous posts, but i just want alittle re-assuring that i am doing the right thing and getting the catback!

oh, and thanks for all the help and information that you have provided to us. i know i appreciate it!

Yes, I really LOVE this set-up. I already had a 2.5" cat-back, so I couldn't tell you how much power this gives over stock. Most cat-backs give a few HP, but nothing very noticable.

I've heard a Greddy from inside and out, and this is the same. Just enough sound but not too much at all. I have a y-pipe and CAI and still not too much noise.

Question

Is this thing mandrel bent???????

Anyone know of it's real power gains as opposed to other catbacks? perhaps a dyno?

There has got to be a reason it's so cheap

if it's non-mandrel bent.. then that's a good price for it.. if it is, it's a steal.

it IS mandrel bent, stainless, polished - same as the GReddy.

its fun to drive with AND has a nice tone. I have driven with this exhaust for about four months now and i still think that it was a great deal for a ss mandrel bent catback exhaust.

OMFG, why didn't this come about before i bought my stupid 2k1 muffler?! it sounds OK, but i'm losing a little HP and it doesnt look as good as this OBX. ahhh, might invest in this later on in the year....

was that price shipped?
