Possible GD: Definitive crank, ps, and alternator set for 2k2!

i told nick at definitive motorsports about the interest people would have for a full pulley set (alternator, crank, and power-steering). also, there is a possibility, for those who have massive sound systems, to make a stock diameter, but lightened crank pulley. of course, since these would be custom jobs, a deposit would have to be made and at least 10 people need to get in on this. i haven't got the details on how much the deposit would have to be, or how long it would take, but it is the weekend so we'll probably find out more tomorrow (monday, 4/14). post if interested! thanks!

ps-if you have a need for jus' the crank pulley that definitive already has available, click here for nick's current groupdeal. also, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or definitive motorsports.

Where these the pulley's that Polo was mentioning before that ppl with SC's can get too because it will be kept stock size so therefore we won't be underpowering the blower? If it's the one then I'm in too

1) yes, that's what you would needy.

2)nick, you need to clarify with definitive on which they plan on designing. 3.0L pulleys or 3.5L pulley's.
the 95-01's all use the same pulley while the 2k2's and 2k3's are the only ones using the 3.5L pulleys. then again, noting that this VQ engine is on the alty, max, and 350, it would also bring a good point to make these.

in other words, talk to him about making 2 deals cause this could open up the doors for those people that dont' wanna underdrive and just want the lightened pulley.

yes....

yes, these are also the ones that will be stock size, except lightened (see PoLo's post). however, definitive motorsports can make custom jobs as well. they have the machinery. check out their website! that's a different story though!

good point, but....

marco, on nick's original post, he stated that VQ30 and VQ35 use the same pulley. however, the only difference between both is that there is a timing ring on the pulley to make it fit the VQ30. here it is explained from nick's post
1. Crankshaft bushing is bronze, the new timing ring that makes this pulley able to fit the VQ30 is going to be made of Aluminum to keep the weight down.
so i could probably post a GD on the altima and 350z page as well. we'll have to see what he says.

this is it...

alright everybody, here's the deal. the power-steering and alternator pulleys would be more than i could handle for a groupdeal. that's a whole other monster. it is possible, but more buyers would be neededbecause of cost issues. but, for the stock diameter crank pulley this is what we'll need:
  • at least 15 people
  • 50% deposit, estimated cost will be around $145-$150
  • if anybody knows the stock diameter of the 2k2 crank pulley, that would help immensely!
  • does anybody know if the 2k2 pulley is the same as the 350z and 2k2 altima? if so, there could be more potential buyers!
nick says that it will take approximately 2 months to make and we will only have one color (again, a cost issue). he will also use the brass bushing as seen on his groupdeal. remember, lightened pulleys are proven to work! there are dynos out there:and there are more. if anyone is interested, please post!

alright!

the stock dimensions for the crank pulley have been found! cost will be about $140, and it will take approximately two months to make. remember, we need 15 people! people in so far:
  • myself
  • PoLo
  • PCGuRu2K
only 12 more to go!
