***GREAT NEWS***.
Sloppymax and Limsandy you guys are welcome to join this deal. I just spoke to my contact and he still honors the price. In fact, he said he'd give me another $5 OFF per order if we can get 15. Even if we get 14, I'd buy the last set to make the 15 and sell it on Ebay or the FS area. This is a great news. This is an excellent price.. maybe that $5 I can keep for my efforts and I am gonna try to make other great GD.

WE CAN TAKE 2 OR 3 MORE. THANK YOU!!!

Ok- for those already participating and paid, let me make it clear I will not be waiting for the remaining 2 or 3. Just letting people know there are slots available if they are interested and we can save another $5 too.

<>Yoogie- I wont get your email until tomorrow. I am at the office at the moment and they yanked access to yahoo's mail. If you want you can PM and I get back to you faster. In any event, these struts/shocks will fit 2000-2003 if your question was related to that.

Update on shipping methods

I spoke to my contact at the distributor today and this is their updates, which was expected.

1. Once order is placed and I get a confirmation number and the sale is processed, they will allow local people to pick their orders up even the same day. That is, of course, providing the parts are in stock at the time of pick up.

2. For easier and more cost effective shipping, they will ship all orders to one location. If all the parts are in stock then the order will go out within 24hrs. If not, they will order them from KYB and can get them in less than a week they say. So I can have them at my door within 10 days total.

3. If anyone is in NY/CT/NJ or a neighboring state and willing to meet with in any of these states I will consider driving for a meet.

Now, for the record and not to bad mouth or downplay this thread I am about to refer to, I have to say I monitored that group deal and there have been some complaints about shipping/packing. Some people got products that were slightly damaged due to poor packaging and shipping. To avoid this, I want to have all the orders shipped to one location so the distributor dont get sloppy/confused or otherwise careless.

So when can I expect the shocks to be at my door? (Las Vegas) How am I paying for shipping? Am I getting my shocks last because I can not pick them up or is this a first come first serve basis?

I cannot say the exact date. As I have been doing thoughout putting this GD together I will continue to communicate with the distributor on a daily basis to get updates. You will not receive your order last b/c you are not local. There are two scenarios that can play out here:

1. Your order can be shipped directly from the distributor to your home.

Upside: you get your order faster

Downside: costlier, may have possible problems w/ensuring the right parts are sent. Will be more time consuming and costlier to address any of any errors.

2. Order shipped to one place and re-distributed.

Upside: More cost effective since shipping is now in bulk, I can examine and make sure the right parts are sent. If any errors, I can correct them faster and easier. When you get them at your door you dont have to worry about anything else.

Downside: Takes a longer than direct shipping.

To make things clear, I am obviously not a store keeping these in stock. This is a group deal and a little patience is the cost to get these incredible discounts. By most accounts, this GD has moved faster and as efficient, if not more, than some of the others managed on the org. I think my response time has been fairly prompt with Q&A's.

This is the thread I referred to earlier: kyb agx GD If you read some of the last few pages you'll hear complaints about damaged shipments/wrong part #s sent. This is not the fault of the GD organizer but a problem with the distributor direct shipping as far as I can see. Let me know
Disclaimer:
I am not knocking that GD. I think it went very efficient but the problem came about during shipping and people wanting their stuff real fast.

1) So what is the drop with these?
2) Does the $268 include shipping and the PayPal fee? (Shipped to 32714)
3) Can I get in?
4) Are colors available? (Dark Blue is my preference)
5) How do these compare to the Tein GD going on now?

1) this is not a spring GD.
2) it includes paypal fee but does not include shipping.
3) check with the NY guy.
4) only 1 color, i think.
5) again, not a spring GD.

Dont mention it.

If there are enough interests I dont see why not do it for the 4th gens. I believe the part prices for 4th gens are slightly lower .. but dont quote me on that. Let me know what the mood is for Gr2 for 4th gen and I'll do what I can.

I dont believe I can add any more to what "limsandy" has already clarified. BTW, lim..are you in still?

So if I got in on this deal (almost decided) and the GB for the TEIN springs, how would the ride be? Or should I get the Maxspeed springs? I just can't make up my mind. I want a nice drop, but don't have to have the 2.x" that the TEIN offers. I'd like to keep a somewhat smooth ride, just get rid of the lofty feeling. Does anyone have experience with these shocks on either of these springs I listed? Or maybe recommend another brand? Thanks.

Oh, and I'll be using these on stock rims for a while.

This question was already answer back on p4 and I believed I made references to it on p1. In any event, I will amused you. Click Here for a ride quality comparison using the GR-2s. By the way, the order will go in tomorrow so you must decide today.

DR0832|--> Let me go ahead and complete this deal first. I want to see how well it goes before taking on a new task. If all goes well, and I hope it does then I will try to repeat it for 4th gens. How does that sound?
ps/the Konig Verdicts are not in stock and are $200 off the listed price on the site. Lets discuss that via PM
Thanks

Just thought I'll let you know I spoke to the distributor today to let them know I am placing the order tomorrow. Here are some updates: As of now, there are only just 2 sets of GR-2 in stock for 5th gen maximas. Once I place the order, they will order & pick up ALL of our orders from KYB. They estimate the local orders can be picked up on Wed 4/30. I will PM those that will want to pick up their orders locally with complete instructions including a confirmation number needed for pick up. Any other questions in the meantime... PM.
FYI: I am travelling to Buffalo this week end leaving Friday morning and returning Sunday afternoon. I plan to take my laptop with me and keep up with this thread. But, I also dont want my wife getting on my case about being on the org 25hrs a day. In any case, you guys can reach me through my cell which I gave you if you have an urgent question.
Thanks,
Ralph ..

I can understand that. My nickname was actually done on a dare almost 10 years ago. A dude that I worked with at an internet service provider dared me to register the email address. At the time all email addresses had to be registered with Network Solutions (formerly called the Internic). So I submitted the request, and they approved it. So it's been there ever since.

Banning it would annoy me a little, basically because that's my entire internet profile. I can understand "cumalittle" because that's just vein, but "studman" is not... depending on how you take it (think what it meant 10 years ago). But I can always get a new name, but only if all my messages, PMs, inbox, buddy lists, history, and etc etc etc could be transferred to the new name.

Ladies and gentlement, I must say I am extremely pleased with the speediness and efficiency of this group buy so far. This is the first I have organized and I am very happy with the way it is working. Now, I place the order the tomorrow and wait for UPS to come drop some 48 pieces at my door. I can see my wife on the phone with her lawyer now.. ..nah! she loves me and loves my hobby. Now, the UPS guy I know he'll really hate me now. This guy comes here about once a week almost.

Awesome. So he's in CA and you're in ??? What timeframe should we expect to see them in? I'm not in a rush, just want to tell my UPS guy when to expect them (I get stuff everyday almost) and what to do with them. You can send mine out last if you need to. I'm not getting them installed right away because I'm still waiting on the springs too.

And because I can't get an answer there, I'll post it here.

1) I'm trying for the TEIN springs. If the GD goes through for them, what else would I need to install the GR2/TEIN setup?

2) Would I need to get camber kits/bolts? And if so, where do I get them at?

3) Is there a write-up for DIY'ers, or should I let a shop do it? I'm contemplating letting Firestone install mine and do the alignment (gotta love those lifetime alignments). If Firestone does it, how much do you think it would cost.

Sorry for the questions but I can't seem to get an answer elsewhere.
