Sorry about yesterday guys. I kind of got held up. I was working on the eyelids and the first mold is ALMOST finished. I need to make more molds though. It's going to take a little longer than I thought it would. I stop working at my current job in about a week. Then I'll have about 8-10 hours a day to work on car parts. Don't worry guys, if not before, I'm sure I can get all of this done within a week after I stop working. If you are ****ed because I'm dragging and want to bite my head off, you know my e-mail address, or just PM me. Thanks for understanding guys. Fiberglass is a lot of work. - Jitek

OMG, I am tired. The first mold is done. Well, kind of. The shape's done. Now I need to go back and make the second mold while I start to make the actual product off of the first mold. There's a problem guys. When I go back, my cousin won't be there so i have to pull out the headlights myself this time. Are there any other screws (not clips, I know where those are) that I should know about except for the two obvious ones that are completely visible? I don't want to break his headlights, I'd be spending all of my profit on buying him new headlights plus some more money out of my pocket. Oh yea, I'm also starting a custom trunk project in about two weeks for my friend's 00 maxima. Wait till you see those. Let me take some pictures and I'll post them. By the way, my computer is having problems where the internet only works when it's lazy *** feels like it. I'll check frequently but depending on when AT&T wants to come out and fix this, it might take a while for me to update. If I can't post tomorrow, I'll update again the day after at an internet cafe or something. Sorry about my stupid computer. Maybe it's time I get a new one. - Jitek

For the headlights, it's just the 2 visible screws that hold the the housings in. They're pretty easy to remove - that's why they get jacked so much.

It sounds like you have A LOT of projects going on at the same time. I hope that you're going to finish the eye lids before starting on the trunk. If not, things might get backed up, and you might have a lot of unhappy customers.

I second that big time. You haven't finished these yet you're taking orders for other projects. Please finish these first or else we may get irritated.

OK, just so that I can get this clear with you guys. Custom trunk kit and whatnot is not even in production. The one that was made for my altima was made before I even thought about the eyelids. Right now, Maxima eyelids are my first priority since you guys did get the 10 people first. If these are taking a long time, believe me, I'm working as hard as I can on them. I'm not wasting time on other projects. I think up different projects as I lay down to go to sleep and write them down on the pad next to me. I will be updating you on anything new so don't worry guys. I'm not going to drag this no longer than next month. After this, I am NEVER making eyelids again hehe. This is stuff is irritating for me too. I'm going to make 25 pairs (shipping the preorders first) and after that, whatever is left is going up for sale for a slightly higher price and no more after that. 25 pairs means that there will only be 25 maximas out there with my eyelids ... don't you love having something rare Anyway, I am very busy this week with some unexpected bullsh*t. Nonetheless, I am still working on this project. So before you guys go off and get mad, please realize that this project is not like something a pre-schooler can put together. Most of you guys are understanding. Once you get the products, you won't be dissapointed so please try to be a little patient with me, I'm not blowing this off to the last minute. I'll get more pictures after I can borrow my cousin's digi cam ... my stupid phone's camera is messed up. - Jitek

Thanks for the info Jitek. I'm glad you're focusing on the eyelids before starting any new projects. Man, we'll have some really limited edition items! Some new pics would be great....hope you can post some.

My post was not intended to imply any lack of dedication to the project. I was mearly pointing out that as one of your customers, it appeared that you may be overextending yourself and I was a little concerned in getting my order in a timely manner.

A date of the end of this month was promised and as it looks at just 5 days left, it may be a little hard to do. I understand that there are delays and unforeseen problems, but we just wanted to make sure that those delays and unforeseen problems were not because you were working on other projects before finishing this one.

I applaud your hard work and posting updates nearly everyday, as I don't think anyone else has ever kept us updated as much as you have. I know it's not easy making these and I certainly appreciate your motivation and commitment in making these "limited edition" eye lids.

Keep up the good work, and believe me when I say, if I could help you I would.

First off, I wanted to say that I didn't take any of your commments in any negative way. You guys are my customer and keeping you guys happy is definitely #1 to me. As you guys may know, there are some unforeseen problems that do get in the way. Because I am mass producing these instead of making one piece and just sticking it on, it's taking quite long. On top of that, I AM a one man army ... kind of (I got a friend helping me once on a blue moon). I'm having trouble getting a contact of my "test monkey" right now (even though he IS my cousin). His home phone is never picked up and his cell is always off (like he fell off the planet or something. I still need to make 5 molds. If there is anyone that is interested in being my "test monkey for the remaing molds, PM me or e-mail me if you're in the northern chicagoland area or the northeast suburbs of chicago. Preferably having a garage, I will go to you. I'm not going to make you come all the way down here. I can just take my tools over there. Benefit : Free pair of eyelids (painted and installed). If you already paid for these. As soon as I ship all these out, you will get your money back. I hope I find someone quick because I don't want people starting to get antsy. If all else fails, I'm going to have to steal my cousin's car or something - Jitek

I was wondering why your phone was always off. How did you lose your ... never mind, we'll talk about that while the mold dries. I need to get this thing done with. I'll call you tomorrow. I'm going to need the car on Sunday morning till about Sunday night if that's ok with you. I'll call you tomorrow and we can talk about them. Hey guys, sorrie this really isn't an official update. Good news and bad news. Bad news ... since we found my "test monkey" just now, there wasn't much done. Good news ... I have my self a GREAT tech team now. The molds are going to only take a full day to make now. Which means, we're coming closer to the end of this project ... Finally. Sorry for this hold up guys. These guys that I ergh ... hired ... is going to be working on this whenever they can (when they have the car). Thank you so much to all of you for being so patient. - Jitek

I'm getting a little concerned, to say the least. In the beginning we were getting daily updates, now, the last update was 9/3/03 - 1 week ago.

If this goes on further with no results, I may try to get my money back.

OK, calm down guys. The project is nearing the end. I got sick of trying to get that stupid computer fixed so I had to resolve the problem, so I just went out and bought another one (I needed a new one anyway). I know I promised daily updates and now you guys are getting antsy because I haven't done so. Please don't worry. I'm good for my word and I'm working on them. I really don't have the time to constantly be on the comp anymore because these projects take a LONG time. I'm going to try to get my cousin to bring the car this weekend and that should be enough time to complete ALL of the molds. Why is this taking so long? One product per mold per day. Ensures best fitment and quality unlike other companies that go ahead and make 10 products off one mold, causing the mold to change form from all of the heat. My point is, don't worry, I'm not pushing this back as far as i can. I'm working on them as I promised. It's that one product per mold per day thing that's killing me. It takes forever to make a mold, nonetheless, making more than ten is a b*tch. I'll get back to you guys with more AFTER the weekend. I don't want to have to post up useless garbage. I'll get back to you guys on Sunday night or Monday morning. Sorry about this guys, it's just that quality is VERY important to a person's reputation. - Jitek

Thanks a bunch for posting. At this point I wasn't expecting you to post everyday, but was just getting a little concerned after a week. I would like to express my appreciation for spending so much time on this and I hope we can get the eye lids soon.

thanks for posting and I look foward to your post after the weekend.

OK, so the mold is finish and you'll start to make the actual product tomorrow? You said 1 per day, so this should all be over by month's end, right?

Thanks for the update, Jitek.

Will you ship them one set at a time as they are produced? Or will you wait till all 10 are done?

I'd like to get mine ASAP.................

I was first on the list

Actually, that all depends. If my cousin gets his color matched first, then yes. If there is a member on these forums that would be kind enough too send me some high quality pictures after they get it mounted on their car and color matched, then I will use theirs. As an update though. I I have a pair that's sitting on the mold right now. The pairs that I made tomorrow are going to be sanded down and primered along with a pair of the sentra eyelids that was made yesterday as well. They should be done in a 1.5 - 2 weeks. If there are any more questions, feel free to PM or e-mail me. - Jitek
