Just let them know you are from Maxima.org and you want the group deal pricing. If they have the AGX's in stock, than you should have them in 3-4 days like i just did.

I already searched the forum, but I was wondering if the GR2's can handle Tien springs fine, or will it put it under a lot of stress. I noticed a few people had this setup, but didn't know if there would be an issue with premature failure since the GR2's are similar to stock springs. Please let me know. THanks.

Just ordered GR2s from them. I talked to a guy so I guess he is Scott (I didn't ask for his name). He told me that they don't have them in stock right now and it will take about a week to get them in.
Cool thing is that he said the special price is $235 shipped!! I thought it was $285 shipped. I thought I misheard him, but he reiterated that it was indeed $235 shipped
Actually, can anybody confirm it? $50 in difference seems a lot.
Thanks Soundmike for the great connection!

Look here. Click on the "View Seller's Other Items" link on that page if the auction has ended. They're constantly having auctions for these struts.
I won an auction with them and got my GR-2's for $260, plus $19 shipping, so my shipped price was $279 ($6 less than the GD price). Here's a link to the auction I won
They shipped them promptly and I have no complaints.
Not trying to hi-jack the GD thread, but since it's from the same people, and if you can save $6 or more off the GD price, why not check it out?
BTW, I have my GR-2's combined with Eibach Pro-kit springs, and I love the drop/ride now. Highly recommend that setup.

This is Jessica - I wanted to clarify that situation. Awhile back, I ordered in about 20 sets for the Maxima.org group deal. They didn't sell quickly (in fact, it took about 2 months to sell them all) and the owner here made me put them up for auction to get rid of them and free up some cash. Our ad was supposed to have been delisted, but somehow" found" its way back into the eBay system.
I hope that clears things up!! Just as an FYI - I am overstocked on the 4th gen Maxima shocks - they are on eBay here:

Thanks guys!

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up on stock fulfillment. We have plenty of the rears in stock (40, in fact), however, as many of you know, we have had a hard time getting the fronts in. We anticipate being able to fill orders over the next week; my CA location is getting them in either tomorrow or Monday, but then I have to wait about 4 days for the stock transfer to come to me. So, anyone who still wants in (at $285 - sorry, $235 would be below my cost!) just please note that it will take 4-7 days to ship. If you are in a hurry, I can drop ship from my CA location, but it would be an extra $50.00 - they really try to discourage that.
Thanks!

Jessica, I am going to be placing an order with you in the next couple of days for a complete set of KYB GR-2's for a 2001 Maxima. I just wanted to make sure that you had them in-stock. Which way is easier to pay: over the phone or via PayPal? Thanks!

The stock shocks/struts lasted about 8 months with the Maxspeeds. Time to break that couple up and go with a more compatible union.
Just ordered mine from Jessica. What a great lady!
Should have them this weekend. My Maxspeeds will be happy little springs.
Great company to deal with.

I just received my 2 rear gr2s today. The only thing that bothers is the instruction that came with the shocks,"REMOVE THE RETAINER STRING BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION"( didn't find any retainer string). There's another warning that came with the instruction" Nitrogen gas within the shock may seep into the working chamber, if not corrected before installation, noisy operationand reduce performance may occur. To prevent this problem, stroke the shock( pushing tha shock down and up)fully until you can feel constant resistance throughout the full stroke in each direction". Are these procedures really necessary?Did you get the same instruction that I got?

Hey all!
Histo - I will get a warehouse sample to check to see if those instructions come with them all. Seems like overkill to me, but hey, I don't install them, so let's hear what others say first!
Deal is still on. I still have 4 full sets of the 5th gen (with more available in my satellite warehouses) - the 4th gen I would have to stock transfer, but I have them available.
Any other questions, let me know! Thanks everyone!!

Mine came with similar instructions. It's not as complex as it sounds though.
The string, OTOH, i don't think mine came with one either. Then again, the instructions seems to be generic and they may use this for other applications as well which may or may not have such string.

Did you follow the instruction like shown in the picture(stroking the shocks until you feel full resistance.....) or did you install it as is, the way you receceived it? I never insrtalled one before so I need as much help as I can. I don't want to install it and dismantle it again for not following the "prescribed instruction". Again, thank you sounmike!!!!

I did "stroke" the pistons a few times (that's another story - sorry for the pun), The shock felt consistent the whole time. I don't think you have to worry about it.
They ride great. Stiffer and rail-like but still some comfort. I have pretty hard tires though (Conti ExtremeContact - 235/45-17) so it might be smoother for you.
Great buy.
