Prices
Conversion Kits:
5000k - $385 shipped
7500K - $420 shipped
9000k - $450 shipped
12000k - $490 shipped
This HID kit line looks awesome! I have done quite an extensive research on HIDs and owned a couple of different kinds. This website gives extremely detailed information as well as all the pertinent information... all realistic. The lumen ratings go down as the kelvin rating goes up, which is exactly as expected. A lot of companies I think falsely advertise kelvin/lumen ratings (because there is no way for a normal comsumer to measure either).

The bulbs and ballast however do not have a brand name (or are they both Bohmen?). I thought that Osram and Hella and maybe a couple of other smaller names were the only companies that made ballasts.

Is there any information on that?

Another question is, how long has this line been out in the market? The reason I ask is because the 7500K kit is estimated at over 3000lm and the 9000K kit is 2900lm. I have owned an 8000K kit that was 3200lm. I know this is almost splitting hairs, but I was just wondering how accurate the measurements are and if this product is new, why wouldn't the output be a bit higher? Just curious...

Thanks.

Hey Juice, I never purchased from you so couple questions... it looks to me like you are a reseller, are you an authorized reseller? If so, who will provide the receipt (proof of purchase for warranty), you or the manufacturer? I ask because if I ever need to get the warranty work done, do I have to go through you or the manufacturer?

You don't have to answer this but, are 8000K bulbs illegal in the US?

I am just a seller. And no you can contact the vendor directly you dont have to go through me. I have no idea if 8000k bulbs are illegal.

Judging from the pictures on their website, the whole kit looks identicle to the McCulloch kit sitting on my desk, right down to the connectors, even the texture on the ballast... hell, even the colors on the sticker are the same, just a different name....

Can you take some pic of Mcculloch kit? Others can help to judge if it's a similar kit.

Here's a couple pics of my 8000k's pics are kinda bad so when I have time I will take better pics. Tell you what I think I need the h3 kit for my fogs. And I thought my PIAA extreme sidemarkers where blue against the bulbs they look halogen.

Looks pretty good! Can you take some pics further away from the car, showing both headlights? I'm deciding on whether or not I want to buy these. Those Philliops Ulitnons are just too f$#%ing expensive.

Thanks

Ham, I see you just sold your 8500K bulbs. You're gonna buy the 8000K now, huh?
I'm thinking about gettin that too.

Yeah, I sold the 8500k they were too purple...the law didn't care for that too much. Another down side was that I couldnt match my fogs w/ those bulbs because they weren't sold anymore. I'd really like to get a set of 8000k for both headlights and fogs, but his prices are only a few bucks cheaper than Proxenon.

Shoot. Few buddies got pulled over for having blue HID lights. According to them, blue lights are only for cops. Maybe I should go w/ the 12k HID?

I dont think deep purple would be much better than blue.... might even be worse considering they would stand out even more. Stick to white if you are worried about the police, I got pulled over for my 6k HIDs (which are only slightly more colorful OE HIDs.)

but the thing is though, around town during evening rush hour, there are tons of Mercedez and BMWs w/ purple HID lights. Cops dont pull them over. They pull civics over for having purple lights. Maxima should be ok since they come w/ HIDs. Cops are more **** about pulling people over for speeding or running red lights

The lights on Mercedes and BMWs are all between 4100k and 4300k.. the projectors give the appearance of a purple light but the light on the ground is pure white. With a 12000k kit, the ground will be illuminated in a deep purple, and that stands out more than anything. Cops know the difference between aftermarket and OE HIDs, its not hard to tell. I guarentee that you will be pulled over if you get 12000k, I'm hoping I dont seem annoying because its your car, so do what you like.. but trust me.

I have the 12000k, they don't look too illegal. I've been through 2 roadblocks and didn't have any issue with them. The give off a nice purplish/blue color. I see other HIDs around that look much more 'illegal' than mine.

Juice is associated w/ Proxenon. Proxenon makes 6500k D2R bulbs. Can you get those Juice? If so, how much?

No they do not...

Go look on their website, in D2R/D2S, they only make 8000/12000.
