Yes, that's correct. I've had a good deal of people that had to have their CC charges reversed after waiting for 2 months from Frankencar. I'm providing better products, better service, and not to mention at superior prices! Email me if you have any questions.

Just finished installing my new Berk Intake. Only issue seemed to be the couplers were a bit of a bear to get on, but warming them up in the microwave for 1 minute or so helped with the malleability. I only took my car around the block, but I'm sure you could hear me go by afterwards. Note: this is the only performance mod I have on my car yet and if they all end up providing gains like this, there will be many more to come. Thanks Bryan...and thanks kloogy for talking me out of the Frankencar.

i have an original intake system on my car. i do want to chang it to increase my milage and horsepower. question is... do i need the midpipe? can i order the full intake system without the midpipe and it do the same thing? what does the midpipe do? also, what are the benefits of a apexi filter as opposed to a k&n? a 60 dollar difference..why?
thanks,

thanks for the info. i really want to order one but now ive read the forums that talk about frying a mass air filter chip if you aren't careful? that kind of scares me. the last thing i need is it to screw up on me and i have to pay a large amount of dough to the local dealer. is it really as dangerous as it sounds? my dad used to be a mechanic and he builds motors and everything. however, he has never touched the motors of late 90's early 00's cars (nissan at that). do you think my dad and i could install it and never have a problem with it messing up other stuff?
thanks

[QUOTE=doublea]

I installed it this week. I didnt get the themoflex hose from Bryan. I just bought a 3" to 3" silicon hose and reuse the stock 2.75" to 3" connector from throttle body to the midpipe. It works!
the Berk MAF bracket (that one that holds MAF to car frame) will not fit because the midpipe is longer. I made a ghetto temporary bracket to secure the MAF.
I rotate the MAF tube so the sensor does not point up and now it is pointing to the front of the car. I am affraid that excessive vibration will bump the MAF sensor harness to the hood.
I also changed the K&N filter to RR-3003, recommended by an .org member. My RU2820 was too old and too dirty because it was used as CAI filter for SC.

I removed my FrankenCar intake today. FrankenCars refusal to return both emails and phone calls finally got the best of me and I will no longer have their products displayed in my Maxima. The couplers were dryrotted and very hard to get off. I installed the Berk w/Apexi today and I have to say, it's definately a step up from the FrankenCar. The couplers are absolutely beautiful. Not only do they look very nice, they are much more rigid than the FrankenCar couplers. The Berk midpipe appears to be just a tad shorter than the FrankenCar and it is much lighter since it's made of aluminum. Lighter midpipe, stronger couplers and shorter midpipe length kept the entire assembly perfectly straight and it's perfectly in the sweet spot between the strut tower and the battery. The FrankenCar was so heavy that it sagged ever so slightly and caused it to rub up against the strut tower causing wear on the Apexi filter's plastic.
Bryan sent these before my payment went through PayPal. How many people are willing to do this? Bryan went out of his way to not only make a superior product and his customer service is unequalled. Truth be told, I think many of us would rather have a "slightly" inferior product as long as we get "superior" customer service. I would like to say thank you to Bryan for accomplishing both aspects mentioned above.

To those having problems getting the couplers on the MAF and the Intake manifold. I here your pain. Holy Mary mother of God! I warmed them up, but it didn't help much. My wife held the MAF while I turned back and forth and after a long hard struggle, it went on and it's not coming off. After having no success with installing it on the Intake manifold, I thought to myself, I have no vaseline, but I do have some KY Jelly
I put the KY on the inner lining and on the end. Walla, it went on with medium effort. Who would've thought a spermicidal lubricant would work on your car?

I was wondering if the silver part was the mid pipe? I just got my intake today, but not sure if that silver part is the mid pipe. Im also waiting for the silicon hoses because these things are going like hot cake and Byran had to oder more black ones. Also if the silver part is not the mid pipe what dose it look like and how much dose it cost?

Bryan, I sent out the usps money order yesterday afternoon, as per your instructions. If by the time you receive my $$ you have black or silver midpipes, send me a silver. If they are still in backorder, just send it out with the red midpipe. Thanks for everything.
