"Switchblade" style Keyless remotes

I'm sure that everyone has seen by now the switchlade style key fobs foe like the volkswagon jetta. I was wondering if anyone has made something simular for the maxima ( especially for the 4th gen). I have seen one on ebay, but the remote part of the switchblade isn't functional. Does anyone know where I can get such, or know how to go about developing such?

I believe that someone already tried doing this for the Maxima already. I think that he sold 20 or so keys.

I'll try searching to see if I can find something.

I have one right now. I started the thread on the GD, and it is not worth it. I still got the key sitting right here. THAT THING IS R.D.S. RUBBER DOG SH*T. Its not programable, I sent it to paradox 3 or 4 times, and no 1 can cut the key exept the dealership. So I have to wait and do it @ the dealership and It wont program to my alarm. I am stuck with a useless Remote and a Fold out key. I AM MORTIFIED OVER THE GD! AS YOU CANT TELL!!

That last GD made me want to shoot myself! LITERALLY! I spent over $50 bux between the GD and shipping the key back and fourth.. I doubt the guy from Paradox really programmed my remote. His "only system in the world that copies remote frequencies" sounds kinda umm.. FAKE! lol

The key is programmable, I recently had my key broken by my mechanic so I replaced it and programmed it again. Like all the ones I have copied, it took several tries but I don't have to ship. I have to program, go out to car, try it and repeat until it works. As for the key, I had explained that anyone should be able to cut it. I walked into a normal locksmith and walked out 2 minutes later. He didn't look twice at the key. You do not need to goto a dealership, that is your perogative. Hearing back from customers, it seems like going to chains like Home Depot or Lowes might not give you the best luck because the employees there are not locksmiths and therefore not confident in copying something they are not familiar with. A locksmith should have no problem.

I have sold plenty of keys before the GD and there were never any complaints. The most one person went through before the GD was sending it back twice to me to get copied. I never hid the fact that the remote functioning was not 100%. The guy on ebay sells the exact same key as I do, for more money, and I offer to try to copy the remote for free (minus shipping). On top of that you got it at "GD" pricing.

As plainly stated on my website:
"ParaDoX SystemS can not guarantee that the remote will work with your alarm system. There has been success copying the remote for a 1998 GLE with stock alarm."

"Has been success" does not mean 100%, I got mine to work but that's because my car is right there.

And as stated in the original GD thread:
"Basically you are paying for the key.. The remote if a freebie.. If it works, , if not, sorry.. "

As for my "only system in the world", it is simply because the company that produces the remote/key does not export to the US. I had to buy their system in order to try to copy remotes. So yes, as far as I know, I have the only one here in the US. And its not something cheap or small that I plan on lending out or anything of that sort.

Of all the people in the GD, you were the most dissatisfied, since your key has not yet been cut, I will be happy to refund you $37 of the money you "lost" if you want to send it back. I have yet to have a dissatisfied customer and I want to keep it that way.

Edit:

I forgot to mention, about you spending over $50 on the key.. This is not necessarily directed at you, image, because I can't remember how you sent it to me but, I sent everything out First Class Mail w/ Delivery confirmation (to make sure it gets there) which cost $.50 for bubble envelope and $1.61 for shipping. When I received remotes/keys some people spent over $10 in shipping alone some people had big boxes.. Some people even sent me their keys.. lol because when I started selling these, one guy commented that people were stupid for sending me their remotes since I would have their addresses. Remote + key = less safe. Then the guy bought one and sent me his remote.

I appologize for being so harsh. You did sell a good product, and eveything you sold came perfectly. I cannot complain on that aspect. As a business man I tip my hat to you my friend. On the other hand, the remote not working part, absolutely not your fault. You stated that on some cars, it wouldn't work. You tried my remote as many times as I was willing to ship it. As well as took the time to repackage it up and send it out. So for me to bash you, saying I didn't think actually peformed your task of copying frequencies with the remote, was totally 100% wrong. I was out of line, appologize. I appreciate you offering me a refund. It shows you have a lot of character and a reputation that you poccess for your business and yourself. As a dissatisfied customer, I am going to take advantage of your offer allowing me to get a refund for my key. I appologize again for being so "rude", it's just that I sort of put up a shield when I deal with business and telemarketers. Nothing personal. Thanks again and for thr 3rd time I appologize!

Image, which generation is your maxima? I was under the impression that on the fourth generation the car was programmed for the remote not vice versa. So was your remote for an aftermarket deal or stock.
And MaxMoJo, do you still sell your keys and if so do they come with a stock frequency that will work with my car, because I currently have no remote at all?

There is no stock frequency that will work with your car. I need to copy frequencies and functions off your remote. If you do not have a remote, then there is nothing for me to copy.

Guys heres how it works.. GD ends.. Yous end him the money along with your STOCK remote. He takes your remote, copies the frequency over onto the new remote. and BAM! Done. There is no letters like frequency 6-5-4-3 etc.. So rarely, it wont work, like on mine it didnt work, however everyone else on the GD got theres to work. If you have a key with a chip in it, the key will not work.. So don't even bother. I heard sometimes when you get your key back onyl a few buttons may work, in that case your remote is "stupid" and needs to learn the other buttons, so keep mashing down on them and cross your fingers and it just might work. Maxmojo, what is your address? I will send the key via USPS today, if it is alright with you.

As for another idea that might happen one day... A casing that you put the OEM key fob into, with a switchblade key on the side. It might be a little bigger than most of these switch-blade styles, but it would work perfectly.
