Warpspeed Y-Pipe $160 SHIPPED!!
#241
1)There are plenty of how-to's around the .org. I linked at least one in the first post of this thread, and there's one on warpspeed's website. I've heard that if you pay a shop to loosten/replace your bolts the rest is really easy. Read over the installation and see if you're comfortable...I've never done any exhaust work and I'm going to do it.
2)I've heard that if you let the car warm up first, people pass. I've never heard of someone failing it with them, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Some people switch back to their old one except when they go to inspection. It does NOT remove the cat. You can do that by buying a test pipe, or you can buy a hi flo cat through this deal for $85...even then my understanding is that people pass once their car's warmed up.
3) I've heard AT LEAST 10, and I've heard up to 30 on certain portions of the power band...it varies with every driver but everyone gets a descent increase with these, from what I've heard.
4)You're not too late, but there's a long line ahead of you so you'll have to be paitient
5)yeah the price is $160, $245 with a cat. PM me with your personal info (see the first post) and I'll put you on the list.
If you need better answers, ask in the 4th gen forum...no one on this page including me even have a ypipe yet...that's why we're here.

dude..... you have almost 1300 posts and you dont know about the y pipe?
1. not hard to install, except for the bolts that are probably rusted that u have to get off
2.if you get a cali spec y pipe, then you will have no problems.
3. idk exactly how much hp i always thought it was 15-20 but idk... It is hands down the best bang for the buck and most prob the best mod..
4 you are not too late.. i think... ask buddha
5. yes price is 160 shipped to your door.. confirm with buddha

Just got an email from Warpspeed. He shipped out a couple on Friday, and will ship several more on Monday. He's emailing people with tracking numbers as he sends them, so now we just sit back and wait for his email. Looks like he's trying to go by the list, but not totally so if you're paying by check or paypal get that in as quickly as you can. I still haven't received any checks or money orders, but I'll send those in when I get them.

Can anyone here post the torque specks for the Y-pipe installation? Two areas of concern - where the pipe meets the manifold and at the cat.converter. Want to get the pipe installed right - the first time. Budha56, we are looking forward to your next GD offering. WS catback? Thanks, Mark V. (MAXIMARK)

As far as calling them, they said they're going to call you, but if they're shipping in the order of payment received then I'd want to get my payment in sooner too. So I wouldn't blame you if you did. haha.
I don't plan on doing any group deals anytime soon, because I'm happy with my car where it is. But anyone can do what I did here. I just emailed companies, negotiated a good price, posted it, answered questions, and kept the list. It takes time, but it was well worth it.

Also, someone asked about the size of these pipes. Warpspeed just said that these are 2.5 in. (Cattman and Stillen are 2.25 in.)

just called WSP and paid with a CC. Looks like they are going by who pays first and not by the list.
I basically called the toll free number provided at their website, gave my CC info and shipping info and they will send it right away.
i should get the tracking number soon via email once they ship it. i asked and he did ship on friday and will ship today. hope i make the cutoff for the shipment today.
thanks again matt for this great group deal.

Make sure you also pm or email me your info, even if you've already called warpspeed, so that I can keep the list for him. That's the safest way to make sure you're not passed up, because if they just get paypal or whatever they might put it on hold until they get the info from me.
