On oxygensensors.com, 3 or 4 wire sensor?

On their site, they have a 3 and a 4 wire sensor for the rear.
How to tell which is needed for a 96 Fed?

That's fine. This deal isn't for everyone, just for those who are interested in getting the best price. You are still welcome to pay full price and use a credit card.

My guess is that either will work, but I haven't tried both. Ask around on the 4th generation forum, or call oxygensensors at 1-866 441-7039.

It looks like the address in Indiana you gave is wrong. I sent my letter with Certified Mail and Tracking and sits in the post office because nowone signed for it and noone is picking it up. I called OxygenSensors.com and they said they are located in CA and they are aware of the group deal. So now I will try to get my MO back somehow and resend it there... Was it me who messed up, it's confusing...????

OK. The ORIGINAL plan was to mail them to me, but that changed back as early as post number 46 on 3/7 (less than 2 weeks into the deal), which said to WAIT to send in your MO's. The new address was given on APRIL 14th, (post # 88). From then on, you were to mail them directly to oxygensensors.com at their California address. The most up-to-date directions are on post #141. I moved from that Evansville address in mid-April. I called the post office, and they said the certified mail will be forwarded to my current address (3025 Covington St., West Lafayette, IN 47906-1107). If you call them (812 423-6090) with your certified or tracking number, or look it up online, they will confirm that it was forwarded and when it will get to me. Or you can tell me the number and I'll call. After I get it, I will go ahead and mail it to California for you, but probably just first class (I'm a poor college student, and you DID have FOUR months to catch that the address has changed). ;-) Or I can refuse it if they'll send it back to you, or you can paypal me some money to send it certified (budha56@yahoo.com). At least the deal didn't end sometime after you stopped reading the thread! haha. Just let me know what I can do. That's why you have to read these long threads all the way through...it'd be a lot nicer if we could edit the first posts, but since I'm not allowed to do that, I guess we gotta do it this way. Anyway, just let me know what I can do to help get this corrected.

Yeah. Until there's a message saying that it's closed, the deal is still good as far as I know.

I asked deezo to update the thread. When he does, this is what the first post will say:

-------------------------------------

As of 6/19/04, here's what you do:

15% off the price on the website, and free shipping. I think this makes them well under the cheapest price anywhere. Money Orders only.

Go to www.oxygensensors.com and pick out the sensors you want (don't pay for them). Mike recommended the Walker sensors. Print out that paper, and mail the paper and money order for 85% of the order total on the printout, to that company. Remember to make it payable to "Auto Medic Supply or YOUR NAME". Go ahead and mail it to:

Auto Medic Supply
27500 Cumberland Rd.
Tehachapi, CA 93561 USA

Say you're with the Maxima deal.

Shipping is free as long as order after discount is over $50. Otherwise, add $5 to the total. This deal will go on as long as oxygensensors.com wants to...it's been several months and they haven't given me any signs of stopping. When it's done, we will put that on this thread. Until then, it is still good.

I'm starting medical school now, so I'm not going to be doing much with this anymore...which is fine because it's all between the buyer and oxygensensors.com anyway.

Matt

-------------------------------------

Hope that clarifies things.

Deezo said I was able to update the thread myself, and he was right. Interesting. I didn't know that changed. Anyway, it's updated.

ok so pardon the noob question but I got error code P0138:
O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

Now I went to the site, which one is the one I need:

1 - Sensor located in front manifold/exhaust pipe before catalyst on left side
2 - Sensor located in front manifold/exhaust pipe before catalyst on right side
3 - Downstream sensor, after catalyst

BTW, I called them this morning and the deal is still going on, 10% off if purchase with
credit card over the phone, or 15% by money order via snail mail.

PS
I have a 1999 SE Cali Spec Auto

Either 1 or 2 will work. I opted for the $44 universal walker and couldn't be happier. Then again I can solder like a mother****er so that's wasn't an issue for me.

Yep, it's still on, but call them at 1-866-441-7039 to confirm (ask if the maxima.org discount is still going on - they'll know what you're talking about). You can pay with a credit card over the phone to get 10% off or mail in the money order for 15% off.

I ordered the front 2 Walker OEMs and there are only 3 wires on my 95 Max. You can check the connectors under the hood to see how many wires there are: http://www.jatan.net/02Sensor1.jpg

"Universal" type = use your old connector (connect it yourself)
"OEM" type = plug and play (comes with everything)

i got a 0707 on my 97 max and it went away after a reset, thing is it has popped up 2 times ever since. once b4, once recently. resetted and now currently none.

im still unsure as to what brand and what i should do. is it a false code or what?

is there a way to contact them and pick up one for the rear?

Read the print on the Group Deal closely. I think it may be for Walker OEM only! Double check in this post before you buy!

jus because u got it reset doesn't mean that the problem is fixed...if u had a code on ur O2 sensor, chances are, ur O2 sensor is still bad

I think u're better off changing the O2 sensor...and if u go to their website, u'll see a 1-800 number that u can contact them thru
