and yea testors 'candy apple red' matches the red on our lights perfectly

 

whats going on with this... can he match em??? if not, can he at least get red/clears, matched or not.. haha, I just want to get rid of the amber!!!!

Too bad theres no pix, but they say its the same as the stock but all clears.

 

Well I finally got a response from him and this is what he said:

"hello micah,

we called into Nissan, but locally sold cars did not have the
clear/red combination.

We will actually produce the lens in full clear then apply a red dye
to create the red portion.

Our red will be a shade lighter than the original. Also, with your lens
you may recall you can see clearly thru the lens. Our unit will come
up slightly, frosted looking.

So this is our options, either we get all the lenses replaced or go with all clear outer lenses. Reply with which option you'd prefer.

 

ok i am willing to pay for all clears. tell him to make clear outer and inner lights and ship them to us and we will go buy paint and paint them ourselves cause that is the only option that is left. unless we see the color of paint he will use cause if it looks like our red right now, let him paint the clears, if not, i will paint them myself. that is my opinion. everybody agree?

I'm a very lazy person, if he can do all the paiting and trouble for the same price, then I will take it.
I don't mind replacing all lens to mach the color.

Pictures would be very good.

Also if no other option, I will take all clear

 

Can this guy build these with LEDs in them?

no didnt he take a stock light and cut the orange part off and put a clear part from a altezza on it?

 

I would be down with all clear inner and outers, or just outers if it comes down to it

 

tell him to make all clear for both inner and outer lights cause if he only makes the outers, the clear part wont match with the inner light and will look rice. so tell him to make all clears inner and outer lights.

Hey who ever started this Deal send me an email. I can make this a lot easier for everybody! I saw this when it frist started and I was in but I could not pass up some other deals that came my way; so I had to pull out. But enough about my BS. On my home from work I pass by APC's wherehouse and I stoped by to look around. To get to the point. I got the phone number of thier sales director. His name is Mike ( something) I can't remember, but he is the one we ( felow 96 max owner) need to talk to... Get a hold of me so we can get something together so we can get some 100% well made products from a well known company no running around any more. no what i meant is that the clear part on the outer tail does not match perfectly to the clear of the inside light. the red matches perfect thanks to testors paint.

Yeah all clears are fine with me, all you need to paint them is Testors Transparent Candy Apple Red hobby paint and some clear coat and your all set!

 

Hey I would like to have the person that started this thred email me, so that we can call the guy from APC formally and make some kind of request that he can take seriously. Not have some guy call him and say "I want some lights?" Everybody understand I want these as much as everybody else dose; but lets do this the right way and, get the red and clears made once and for all!!!!!!!

I believe they where the company that made the original all clears... I would also want all clears over the non matching red clear lenses.

 

Dammit i couldnt wait anymore, I got me some VHT Niteshades for a mere $10 here locally and im gonna deck out the top part. If this works out ill still be in depending on the price, cause technically right now i have matching reds on the bottom (factory) and who cares what color is under the niteshades because its so dark no one can see it anyway.

 

Yeah I just did the same thing 2 days ago and it looks awesome, but for some reason I would still prefer real red/clears

i agree with that also. i dont mind paying extra for all clears for inner and outer lgihts and i am willing to buy paint and paint them. no problem for me. so whats up with the deal then?
