Group Buy deal on some Place Racing Cold Air Intakes!!
To clarify, Place Racing is getting out of the automotive parts business. The owner and I go way back and he's asked Cattman Performance to help liquidate the remaining inventory, which is well over 300 intakes for Maximas (all 89-03), Altimas (93-04 except 02+ 2.5L I4) and Sentras (everything from 91-04)!
After these are gone, there won't be more unless someone decides to take them back into production, but the key point here is that they've never been available at anywhere near this price before.
As far as silver goes, there are quite a few available for all Maxima applications EXCEPT 00-01.
Finally, I was just looking in quickly, Greg Nanez (nismomaximagtr) is running the group deal, and will be glad to answer questions or refer them to me.

what is the most "sought after" color ? do most people buy silver? yes i know its a weird question... just wanna know what most people like, and why silver is so popular.. Wouldnt you want to make it stand out in your engine bay, everything else is already silver.
The MonsterFlow filter has much more air flow than the K&N, also the you can definitley tell that the MonsterFlow has way better throttle response.

Yes you do. It kinda sounds like a blow off valve sometimes from a turbo charged car. I have been asked a couple times if I had a turbo. Its sound freaken awesome though.

Silver is probably the most popular. All the colors look really nice though. It just depends what color your car is and what your style is. I see you have a white Maxima. Anything goes with white. Any color would look great.

Yes they can be painted. My buddy painted his CAI with some orange engine paint and then some clear coat. It suprisingly came out really nice. I dunno though. I like all the colors. You can always paint it, powdercoat it, or chrome it.

Anyways, you think we could sand these pipes down and paint the intake?
NismoMaxima GTR,
I know that this is OT and I apologize in advance, but I already have the PR CAI, but mine came with the K&N (bought it a couple of years ago). I was wondering if you have the ability to get me the monster flow filter by itself. If so, how much? If not, do you know who you can refer me to (Brian C. maybe)?
Thanks,
Nathan

Totally separate from the temperature issue, this also has a benefit. When the hotwire is getting buffeted by turbulant air, there is definitely a power loss, we've observed this on the dyno.

Do you know if intake should be remove in winters where snows like NY; and as long as you know did anybody have problems with sucking water and damaging engine?; I am still thinking if this intake is good for me but so afraid of sucking water/snow.
