To clarify, Place Racing is getting out of the automotive parts business. The owner and I go way back and he's asked Cattman Performance to help liquidate the remaining inventory, which is well over 300 intakes for Maximas (all 89-03), Altimas (93-04 except 02+ 2.5L I4) and Sentras (everything from 91-04)!

After these are gone, there won't be more unless someone decides to take them back into production, but the key point here is that they've never been available at anywhere near this price before.

As far as silver goes, there are quite a few available for all Maxima applications EXCEPT 00-01.

Finally, I was just looking in quickly, Greg Nanez (nismomaximagtr) is running the group deal, and will be glad to answer questions or refer them to me.

what is the most "sought after" color ? do most people buy silver? yes i know its a weird question... just wanna know what most people like, and why silver is so popular.. Wouldnt you want to make it stand out in your engine bay, everything else is already silver.

The MonsterFlow filter has much more air flow than the K&N, also the you can definitley tell that the MonsterFlow has way better throttle response.

Yes you do. It kinda sounds like a blow off valve sometimes from a turbo charged car. I have been asked a couple times if I had a turbo. Its sound freaken awesome though.

Silver is probably the most popular. All the colors look really nice though. It just depends what color your car is and what your style is. I see you have a white Maxima. Anything goes with white. Any color would look great.

silver intakes are out for the 00-01 maximas, but we still have a few for the rest of the Maxima. So get your orders in before they are all gone.

NismoMax, do you know what material the piping is made out of. Can you paint it? I was just curious. I was thinking about getting a polished one, but now that they're out of stock...I don't know. Personally, I wouldn't ever buy a blue, red, or yellow one. To me, you lose that look of style, and make your car look like a toy. Just my opinion. Anyways, you think we could sand these pipes down and paint the intake?

Yes they can be painted. My buddy painted his CAI with some orange engine paint and then some clear coat. It suprisingly came out really nice. I dunno though. I like all the colors. You can always paint it, powdercoat it, or chrome it.

NismoMaxima GTR,
I know that this is OT and I apologize in advance, but I already have the PR CAI, but mine came with the K&N (bought it a couple of years ago). I was wondering if you have the ability to get me the monster flow filter by itself. If so, how much? If not, do you know who you can refer me to (Brian C. maybe)?
Thanks,
Nathan

For red, yellow, or blue CAI its $129.00 for money order. Or $134.00 if you pay through Paypal or 800#.

For vivid silver CAI its $135.00 for money order. Or $140.00 if you pay through Paypal or 800#.

Yes we have to wait for the next 10th person to buy theirs before they charge\ship them. So you wont see the money taken from your bank account til she has a group order.

get yourself a holesaw and it will do the job fine. or some people use dremels...whatever floats your boat. a template comes w/the cai so it's foolproof.

Is there an alternative to the "tackifying spray", and cleaner? isnt it cheaper on cattman.com?

Totally separate from the temperature issue, this also has a benefit. When the hotwire is getting buffeted by turbulant air, there is definitely a power loss, we've observed this on the dyno.

I took a quick look inside the plastic fender cover (fender skirt) I think is called to try to figure out where is the air cold coming from into the air filter but seems like is totally enclosed between the fender and the fender cover; so no idea where the cold air will be entering from unless you remove the fender cover then lots of cold air from tires will sure come in, plus lots of water/dirt/snow, etc..
Do you know if intake should be remove in winters where snows like NY; and as long as you know did anybody have problems with sucking water and damaging engine?; I am still thinking if this intake is good for me but so afraid of sucking water/snow.

can't you use K&N filter cleaning kit to clean the filter?

To clarify this. The group deal has official met 10 confirmed buyers. So as long as there is some in stock (which there is) than you can order one and it will be shipped on next Friday 11/19/04. As long as you get your order in by Wed 10/17/04 by 12 noon Mountain Standard time. This will be for the following week as well. So basically get your order in before 12 noon on Wed of that week and it will be shipped on Friday of that week. There is no more waiting for 10 buyers. We already have them so the deal is on until Nov 30th. Thanks. Hope this clears up the confusion.
