Im in!!!!

Talked to a guy from customcarbons and he said the hood was probably around 15 lbs. So that means to me that its probably somewhere in between 15-20. Stoked!!! Im paypaling tomorrow or friday depending on when I get paid. Hopefully this will bring the total up to 5 and we are getting our goods!!

On a different but related topic, is anyone going to get hood pins? I definatley need to since I hope to be going fast on the track. Anyone got a good source for them?

<----- PAID!

and.. Stoked! I got a question for yall- actually seconding the earlier question from MaxInProgress. Is the latch going to be working on this hood?

If not, I would go for this - locking hood pins.

If so, I probably would still go for it- since it is a bit more subtle and I dont really love the look of pins sticking up on a hood.

(heres the link to the auction)

Anyone else starting to wonder about a CF trunk? (hahah- havent even gotten the hood yet)

Oh yea and I also second the question about windshield fluid holes.
Also, anyone know if there is a writeup for installing the hood and pins?

there will not be wiper holes.

those locking hood pins can be a PITA to install.
i recommend any sparco style hood pins.
i am in a inventory nightmare at work. i had to work today on my day off. so i will try to keep everyone posted.

happy new year

Man Im ready for this to happen and at $300 shipped its almost pitiful we can't get 5 people. It might be different if you where a n00b offering something but this is a legit company and you are a well known member, come on people!!!
Ive already asked for a weight but didnt get one, carbon fiber is for reduced weight but i dont see the mention of weight loss?? I need to know the weight of this hood please

the guy just said it was 15 lbs so expect it to be between 15 and 20 pounds....

and how would u put the washer nozzles on there?

u can get hood pins painted black and then ionized so they will never rust.....dathrillr has these black hoodpins for sale and they are ionized i think he only has 2 pair left...i saw them in person and they are sick....that locking hood pin idea is awesome...id disable the lock period if i had that.....as long as the key for all of em arent the same.....

its raining hard here in so cal, so i dont kow if that will affect the shipping, as far as i understood the shipping was going to start today. and the weight is 15-20, as previously posted. and also keep in mind, to loose .1 seconds in a quarter mile you would have to loose approx 100 lbs.

Ahh..no gain from weight loss is HP divided into weight and assuming traction stays the same.
And if any carbon hood company wants my sale i need a exact weight ,i have a carbon trunk which is getting painted and the hood will to. I just want it for weight reduction a 10-15lb hood is perfect.
