The Pedders (australian) bushings I listed earlier in this thread for the 4th gen are all available, but I am hesitant to order them because they have a significantly higher price structure than the ES bushings. That's less of an issue with the bushing sets they make that are unique, but if both companies make the same bushing (like front control arm bushings for the 95-99) the Pedders price is much higher. They use noticeably different urethane formulations, and of course the engineers at Pedders are quite sure theirs are superior, but its not something I can comment knowledgeably about one way or the other.

Actually, I have a full set of Pedders springs and struts for the 95-99, and a set of springs for the 00-03 right now. I'd like to find someone to evaluate them in return for a discounted purchase price.
I also have the full set of Pedders bushings for the 95-99, and I'd like someone to try those on their car as well.
I don't mean to seem elitist about it, but in either case, I need someone who has enough background in suspension performance to do an objective evaluation, and sufficient writing skills to express this effectively because I'd like to use the write-up as a Maxima.org product feature.
Any volunteers? Just send me email.

. Let me know. ThanksHmmm, lower control arm bushings... Not sure if those are different from the "front control arm bushings", but I'll review the ES suspension bushings we do have for the 95-99:
Front control arm bushings (ES3111, $28.95)
Lower front subframe bushings (ES1116, $21.95)
Front sway bar frame bushings (ES5118, $8.95)
Front sway bar end link bushings (ES4803, $6.99)
And of course the 95-03 motor mount bushing inserts, which only fit the motor mounts that come with manual transmissions (ES1114, $79.95)

We don't have the one or two gen3 bushing sets that ES makes. We have a couple of the ES3111 set in stock, with more on ths way, if you think that will work.

Solution for using ES motor mount bushings with an auto Max

It is confirmed, but I've also heard back from a customer who has modified his auto mounts so that the ES bushings can be pressed in.
He pressed out the stock bushings (the rubber center and the metal surrounding piece) and pressed in a cylinder he made from a piece of 10 gauge stainless plate (he said it was 135/1000s thick) that was cut to fit, rolled, and seam welded. The cylinder had just the right outside diameter (OD) to press snugly into the motor mount opening and the right inside diameter (ID) for the bushing to press snugly into it.
Thought I'd pass this along, good luck to anyone who wants to try it. Another method would be to form the cylinder and then weld it around the circular opening (wouldn't have to be pressed in that way, but you'd have to get the ID just right).

More ES bushings for 00-03 Maxima...
There's been some discussion of new ES front sway bar frame bushings for the 2000-03 Maxima and 2000-04 I30/I35.
After an order glitch that held things up, we should be getting these in the next few days. There are two kits, here are the part #s and applications:
ES5124 - 22mm fsb frame bushings for 00-03 Maxima GXE/GLE
ES5125 - 23mm fsb frame bushings for 00-03 Maxima SE
The price is $21.95/set. Hopefully they'll arrive before the end of the week.

Just out of curiousity, i dont have a press, and im kinda low on free time to install these. How much do you guys think a normal shop would charge to have the subframe bushings, front control arm bushings and front sway bar bushings pressed and installed?

EDIT: Nope, I was right the first time, at least according to the Energy Suspension installation instructions for the subframe bushings. I don't know what Matt was referring to with that picture...the subframe bushings are for the longitudinal center crossmember.

I'm sorry, but I don't have an installed picture. I think there may be one somewhere in this thread or in some of the previous discussions about the ES bushings.
If someone does have good pics of any of these installed bushing sets, I'd really appreciate getting copies so I can better respond to requests like this.

Yeah, I hope so too. Great product, but this is not the easiest company to do business with (to put it mildly).
My apologies to the 6-8 customers whose orders have been held up by these issues (still waiting for a couple of part #s I ordered almost 6 weeks ago).

You're probably clear on this, but just to be sure, we just send out the bushings that get pressed in - you do not have to do any kind of core exhange when you order these.
I assume that the metal motor mount frames from the I30 5-speed are the same size as those in the Maxima, but just to be sure, measure the diameter of the circle the bushing is in - should be about 3.5", not 4". Also make sure that it doesn't have wires going to it because that would mean that Nissan used the variable damping version (with a 4" opening) that they put in the Maxima autos (its probably not that one, but just make sure, which will be simple since these are loose and not in a car).
If all that's good to go, you're definitely on the right track. You can take those I30 mounts around and find someone to do the pressing at your convenience. Pressing these in is a bit of a challenge because the rim of the circle they go into is quite thin (no lip to grab onto), so you're better off getting that taken care of before starting the installation. It can certainly be done - many have done this already - but you're better off lining things up in advance rather than scrambling around to find somebody when your car is in pieces.

Unfortunately, none of the orders that included the ES3111 bushings (front control arm, 95-99 Maximas) have shipped yet. We originally ordered these in late March! Order lost once, and then the wrong order was finally sent so we still lack that one set (and we're holding a bunch of orders for them).
ES expected those to be poured on Saturday, and I'll check tomorrow to see if they've shipped yet.
