I was going to ask you over the phone your plans for both sets. I just figured it was for a friend or something. Experiment with the second set. Perhaps tinting them or installing LED's. Enjoy though

I don't know Tyler. Maybe put a set on my '96 even though I don't mod him anymore. Maybe get a '96 trunk for my '99. Maybe install only the outers on my '99 and relocate my reverse light somewhere custom. Maybe force the inner taillights on my '99 trunk with some body work. Etc... Options.

By the way, I am mad at you guys. You just decreased the vaule of my old APC outer clears from $350 (on e-bay) to probably under $100.

What I find really hilarious is the fact that some 97-99 owners or conversion owners are now thinking of switching back to 95/96. I'm glad I never bothered with the trunk conversion in the first place.

Kevlo911, how much do you think it'll cost me if I send you these new red/clears for LED conversion? You won't have to worry about my ability to rewire and install, I don't need no stinking direct / quick connections to my car's existing taillight wiring.

200, I would only do the red part though...

But the problem is, it looks like there is a square in the middle of hte light. That square is seperated into 2 parts, one for the signal/reverse bulb and the other part for the brake. The rest of the tail looks like it is upclose to the lens cover. So the only part that could be made LED woud be that square since it looks like the only part that retracts.

But I need close up pics to find out for sure.

Yeah we did not want to say anything about these until they were in stock. It was hard keeping it a secret. Been in the making for a year now and only myself and a few other employees here at CE knew about it. Sorry for the secrets, but hey good things come to those who wait.

Man i want a pair too! Just gona have to wait til i get paid next week!
These would go perfect with a set of Cefiro's up front and the dimaond cut bumper lights. Man. These remind me of some of the tail lights on the newer Infiniti's

It does not look like it would be that easy to put leds in there. Compared to stock tails, these have smaller bulb enclosures inside. Thus less space for LED boards.

Good observation.....I see exactly what you mean. The insides of this new red/clear is not the same as the OEM. Oh well, I don't think I need to have the LED tails that badly. As long as the red/clears are here......we're happy. I am wondering how these tails look in the dark with the lights on. Can we have night photos for them?

If it's any consolation, the LED's would be something that still separates the 97+ owners apart from the 95/96's. Each one have their own uniqueness.

I'm on the fence as to whether or not I like these. I'm very curious to see the bulbs lit up during the and at night. Plus I just made LED's for my tails and it would all have seen like a waste if I couldn't use them. which I'm quite sure I couldn't unless I cut out the housing. Since he said these were somewhat made from the OEM tails I wonder if the lenses would be swappable to our current tails. If so then no question I will buy these, and there isn't as much of a reflector so there will be less LED's being blocked by the reflector. Looks like I will be calling on Monday. Hopefully they will have a pair left.

well i don't have the time to do 97-99 led tails but i would def buy a pair if it goes into production. that should be the next thing for the 97-99 tails if possible

Good question, here is what you can do, just order it off the web this weekend and email me and Monday morning with your order number and when we process the weekends orders I will make sure you get the special pricing. We sold about 30 sets today and have about 70 left. These are selling out faster then I expected.

Anyone know where the write-up is for removing the taillights (did a search and checked the stickies - didn't find it). Or is it ridiculously easy and obvious?

I hope you guys dont make them for the 4.5gen max's.

The 97+ had their time with the red/clears, now it's time for the 95-96 guys to have their fun.

They look so nice I'm thinking of buying them just for the hell of it....

haha! finally. and all the 97-99 people, now you want our lights too? come on, you've had yours for years, making fun on us the 95-96 people because we had to stick to the yellow corner. dont take our thunder away... it's our turn. i'm not hating on anyone tho. i can't wait to get paid to place my order. these are defenitely hotter than the red/clears for 97-99.
