I have the Tokico illumina kit and the rear dust boots need to be replaced, do you sell the replacement boots? if so how much are the? shipping? and when can i get them by? Oh yeah, and if im local, will you allow pick-up?

Your car is pretty new you would probably be ok going with just the shocks. Though maybe you need the mounts. Its up to you.

I also need to find out if the mounts and boots work for my illuminas. I'll be researching it and if they do I'll order some. Also I know I need mounts but I'm not sure what the bearing is exactly.

 

The bearing is just a small plastic piece that sites in the mount. I think its usually white in color (if you want to look at it on your car). I know the KYB one is white at least, not sure about the OEM one on your Max... Lemme know.

one quick question, how exactly do u KNOW u need mounts? just if the car is older/more miles on it? i have a 97 with about 80k miles at least 75k miles on stock suspension and just ordered h&rs and illuminas but have no idea if i need or SHOULD get new boots/bearing/ and OR mounts. anyone help me out? thanks

I read the thread and dont see him mentioning the boots he used. Are you saying he used the KYB's and the worked fine with Tokico? Again, all physical spec on different brands of shocks should be the same, if they'll fit on the car, so I dont see why these boots wouldnt work with any of them...

When I was installing my drivers side strut there was a plastic peice that was ripped in the mountand I couldnt get the strut back on with it like that. So I pulled it off and now when I look at my strut its leaning to the side a little and squeeks like crazy.

Edit: OIC. I saw the reposting in the first page for 95-99. I have to get the boots, the front mounts, and the rear mount kit. Is it still $120?

 

If you need the mount bearings, you can get SM 5122 for $35 each. This is much cheaper than paying $28 for mounts and $13 for bearings.. So with those, the boots and the rear mount kit, you would be looking at $132 + shipping ($10). So the total would be $142 shipped. If you get the order in soon, we can still ship today in order to get you delivery mid next week.
