with my sh*tty track record of getting components, odds are it'll be me that end up with the 4"...

Not all. I shipped out the easiest first..the people that got Only the SLCs.

Hey Don, i recieved my speakers today and for some reason they say SLC165 on the speakers, is that correct or am i mistaken????

 

Doh ! I really need to hire a secretary to do all this for me. No its not the correct set.

Ill get the correct set out to you ASAP. In the meantime could you send that set back please. Ill of course cover your end for the shipping.

 

Don, are you sure? Because mine say W 165 SLC on the back of the 6.5 as well.

 

what does the box say? does it come with tweeters and xovers?

Ahh I missed that he said on the speaker. Yes thats correct then. The box should say SLC265 on the White label to the side.

 

Box just says rainbow, I think that Don and Javy are both mistaken, isn't the W 165 SLC the woofer that is supposed to come with the 265's? Mine has both crossovers and tweets, theres no paperwork that comes with them that tells you what set is in the box, so it sounds to me like a simple confusion of part numbers. I just don't want people sending back products they think are wrong when they aren't.

 

U beat me posting, and yeah I didn't see that sticker on the side lol.

 

And actually that is correct. The driver itself is a SLC165. The full set is SLC265.

Lil breakdown.. SLC= Sound Line Component 1=single speaker,2-dual speaker (Midbass,tweet)3= Triple speaker (midbass,Midrange,Tweet). 65= Size (6.5")

 

Well I was just asking. The box says SLC 265, I'm not that quick to say i received the wrong box but i am just asking, like i said before i didn't know if i was mistaken or what. I just saw that both speakers in the back said SLC 165, but i received everything i was suppose to.
