Sent you a PM with the cost and ordering information. Your car has a manual transmission, right? You said the magic word "GL-4", but the '04s holds less than 3 quarts. If you have an automatic, shoot me back a PM and I will re-work the quote. Thx

75w-90 How Much

Hey Ed,

Need to get a price quote for 2002 Maxima SE 6 speed. Currently I have 2 quarts leftover from my last change. I bought 5 last time around but of that only used almost 3. So I am guessing I only need to buy one unless I did something wrong last time and didn't get all of the old Redline MT-90 out. Ship to 40299. Also the 2 I have has been sitting around in my cool dark basement so I think it should still be good to use. Thanks

You didn't do anything wrong...capacity of your transmission is about 2.5 quarts. Sent you a PM with the cost for just one quart. Let me know if there's anything else you need as it will spread the cost of shipping.

Sent you a PM with the cost and ordering information. Just noticed you requested a quote for 6 quarts...your '00 Max holds just under 5 so that's what I quoted. Sent you a revised quote for 6. Thx

I'm doing a clutch upgrade to a Centerforce Dual Friction on a 2001 Max. Need to replace about 5 qts I believe and I live in a cold weather climate 55077. Could I get a quote for 6 qts. (1 extra qt) of AMSOIL Synthetic GL-4 75w-90 Gear Oil by e-mail? Please let me know if this is the incorrect amount or type you recommend.

Thanks.

You must be talking about AMSOIL XL purchased in bulk (30 or 55 gal drums). So the short answer is "no" (unless of course you would like to buy a drum).

Sent you an e-mail per your request. Capacity on the '01 models is just shy of 5 qts and AMSOIL GL-4 75w-90 is an ideal fluid for your application. Pls let me know if I can help.

AMSOIL has announced small price increase that will take effect on 1 August. The rapidly increasing costs of lubricant base stocks and additives have been well-documented over the past few months. Although virtually all lubricant manufacturers implemented price increases in January and February, AMSOIL held off. More recently, lubricant manufacturers have implemented 6 to 10 percent price increases on finished products effective June and July. AMSOIL makes every effort to maintain the lowest prices possible and has delayed raising prices for as long as possible. Due to the ever-increasing costs of raw materials, however, AMSOIL is forced to implement a 3 to 6 percent price adjustment in the U.S. effective August 1. Due to fluctuations in the exchange rate, Canadian prices will remain unchanged at this time. Even with a minimal price adjustment, AMSOIL synthetic lubricants remain the best and most cost-effective choice on the market, saving customers money through extended drain intervals, reduced wear and maintenance and increased fuel efficiency.

Place your orders with me before the the end of July to take advantage of current pricing. As always, I will continue to make your AMSOIL purchases the lowest cost available. Pls send PM for a personalized quote.

What is your cost shipped for a EAAU6065 air filter? My silicon is a bit high and I have the standard cotton gauze/oil impregnated filter now; I'm looking for a dry filter with better efficiency.

The EaAU are excellent performing induction filters...better and much easier to maintain than the oiled-type. I sell a lot of them to our members and I've sold several to owners of Pontiac G-8's. Sent you a PM with the cost.

BTW, your last order was shipped today and it's scheduled for UPS delivery Monday. I sent you the tracking number. Thx

I be hearing this is the best Shi- out there but in the 5.5 gen how they are known for making oil disappear will it happen with this also or will last or will you have to buy a couple extra quarts of oil?

The use of AMSOIL motor oil will minimize oil consumption; however, it is not a cure-all for design, previous neglect/abuse or other mechanical issues. AMSOIL motor oils exhibit very low volatility (evaporation under high heat conditions) and the molecular structure of the lubricants provide a good seal between piston rings and cylinder walls, etc...these features minimize oil consumption in otherwise healthy engines. AMSOIL might help some, but it probably won't eliminate the problem with the 5.5 gen engine.

You might want to start with AMSOIL XL and see if that makes a difference for you...XL is a very high quality oil and competitively priced with other synthetics. If your car is using oil and you are considering AMSOIL, I would recommend you purchase an extra quart or two with your initial purchase...the additional shipping will be negligible, if anything at all. If you then need it, you will have it; and if you don't, you can use it for your next oil change. It's always better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. :-)

Let me know if I can help... Thanks
