To everyone posting saying hello karen... U might not be talking with karen anymore. I have been told on many different occasions that she has changed positions. The customer service now sucks @$$ and i will no longer do business w/ these people. Ive called on several occasions and have been told this number is only to place orders nothing more nothing less. Ive also emailed about problems on products and have been to that I'd have to pay for items even though theyre still under warranty. Ive also received products that worked and as soon as they were plugged in the bulb or the ballast have blown, and yet... still no response...oooo and also to add i ordered a kit and it took 2 WEEKS for me to receive the kits.....no explanation received as 2 why it took so long either....

With that being said... I have bought many kits from this company and have stopped.
I now have a WHOLESALE ACCOUNT to sell and distribute HID KITS and LEDS.
PM me for INQUIRIES

I agree with you 1000%.

Its taken them several days even to find my account. They say that they can't find my account even when I gave them my name. Now they ask if I had a middle inital in my name, that would cause the reason why they can't find my account! Come on!!!!!!!!!!

To the people who still want to order from this company, get your ACCOUNT NUMBER AND WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE FOR WARRANTY RELATED ISSUES.

They are in the process of fulfilling my ballast warranty now. Hopefully it will be fast.

thank goodness my warranty is up in May. If I have any more problems, I'm def going to order from another place. To get a warranty on this place is insanity. When I call the number, nobody answers. Dunno...

My guess is that they don't have anyone dedicated to the forums anymore. Who knows....

Just tried calling again. My call went into a general voicemail box. Haven't heard anything since SUNDAY for my warranty.

Where is the admin for this? They need to contact this vendor to make sure customer service is handled better. Or just get rid of them. I'm pissed.

Bunch of bull if I heard about this. The last email I sent to you was on Sunday AFTER you emailed me. I emailed you right away, not once but three times! Then I emailed you again on Tuesday, then I have to post on here to get your attention.

First off, I don't have an order number. Ask MIchelle who first took my order. Then I had a bulb replaced recently and they did it by searching, finally finding my order number. Karen or whoever it was never, and NEVER told me my account number.

Phone issues?!? Please. I've been calling your phone number for days. Same thing. Don't lie.

Dude, just fulfill my end of the warranty. I think my warranty will expire in May. And thats when I finally come to an end with your company and crappy customer service.

Please send the ballast as I've sent the picture needed, plus my shipping address COUNTLESS AMOUNT of times.

You have my information. JUST fulfill my warranty and send my ballast.

Thank you.

Nice to c im not the only one having problems with these people... one of the bulbs they sent me from a previous order did not fit so i had to reorder new ones and they shipped it on 3/9 and its 3/25 and i still have not received it!!!!!!!!!!!!

They claim they gave it to usps first class and that is what is causing the delays meanwhile im driving around with mixmatch headlights praying i dont get stopped by the cops... once i get these bulbs i will never do business with these guys again!!!

They're customer service is terrible..i am very disappointed... at least ship priority..they give u a tracing number that doesnt even keep u posted to where the item is... this is crazy!!

can someone refer me to another vendor plz n thank u!!

You called when I got off of work and I was in the subway. Please call again. Lets get this fixed Monday so hopefully I can have a ballast this week. Thank you.

ALso, Just found the paypal transaction. Read your email. Send all the information such as transaction ID, etc from Paypal. How hard was that?

Andrew

I'll wait for my ballast to tell you the entire story. They said the part will be sent out 'IN THE NEXT 5-7 DAYS'. WTF? Post office is that far from you?

Well I got my D2R bulbs in about 1.5 months ago. They were no good on arrival.

So after about 2 weeks of back and forth emails (more my emails, because HID extra decided not to return any of mine) I finally contacted Customer support, and they said they were sending bulbs.

I haven't received a single email since then, despite piles of emails for me to them. They STILL haven't contacted me in any way, let alone actually sent replacement bulbs. At this point I just want my damn money back, but I can't even get ahold of someone to get that.

Think twice about dealing with this company.

I too have been waiting about 2 months now on replacement D2R bulbs from them.Ive sent them the pictures and all the info they requested.i have never had a problem with them before i had purchased about 10 kits and quite a few bulbs from them in the past.I have noticed that there are a few HID kit suppliers having major issues one of them being DDM maby HID Extra is having the same supply issues and if they are they need to step up their customer service so they dont loose the repeat customers like us.

Thanks 2muchbass. I won't give up cause this is bull. Al you guys should try calling the number. Wait, that number doesn't work. Its JUST A RECORDING. I have the number in my email somewhere I will look for it.

I think I'm going to send a note to the BBB for HIDExtra. They used to do well when they had the girls running the show/customer service. I don't know what happened to them.

Are the forum admins even checking on this thread?

With so many issues, I would assume someone would set HIDExtra's status to pending rather than sponsor and not let them sell stuff until they get their stuff takenare off!

****PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST****

Ok so I got my ballast today. Installed it and everything is working. How long was that?

Anyway here's the story on how hard it was to get my ballast.

After complaining constantly and emailing them, they called me but I was in the subway at the time. When i got out, nobody was there.

They told me to call this number 510-962-8811 and press 11 ask for Ricardo. So I called and the conversation went like this.

-Hi, I'm Andrew and I'm the one thats been emailing you about the warranty for my ballast. I have a warranty on this.
-Who told you to call me?
-Ummm HIDExtra customer service?
-really? hmmm...ok Let me look into your account.
-Ok i give him my information again
-ok hold on (puts me on hold), comes back and says, whats your address?
-I tell him my address and he mutters "oh.....you're andrew".
-what?
-oh nothing. Ok, lets see here....I can't find you in our database.
-What? You guys don't have a record of my transaction?
-no, i can't find you in our database
-Ok, what about my paypal transaction?
-that won't help
-Well, I need the warranty on my ballast. I don't care what you have to do.
-umm ok, (puts me on hold)..ok we'll replace your ballast but since we can't find you in the database, we will have to put you in again. But if you call in again for a warranty, we will have a hard time looking for you again.
-WHAT? are you kidding me? Is everything on paper or etched in sand? Why can't you find me?
-Don't know. I'll send out the ballast to you in good faith.
-ok

now, I had to keep my cool to get the ballast. But really. They don't have a record of my account?!? and if I needed to get the warranty again that I will have a hard time? what?

Really HIDEXTRA? Is this how you run a business? I guess not. Cause I don't care if my bulbs or ballast dies now. I'll order from somewhere else.

RIDICULOUS on getting to speak to someone. AFter Michelle and Karen left, this place spiraled down.

You can buy HID's from them. They will take your money. Thats not a problem. Getting a warranty. Well thats a BIG PROBLEM.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call the number I have listed in my previous post. Then if that doesn't go anywhere, file a complaint with the BBB. I'm done with this place.

I did, it looped me around and around, then just kept repeating to send them an email.

I did, even though I've been emailing them almost every day (all 3 email addresses they have)

Still no response. I will be contacting Credit card protection and BBB, as well as going out of my way to inform every place they advertise, unless they get back to me within 48 hours and fix this problem immediately.

Either way, I'll never deal with them again.

umm...the owners probably boned out after they had that massive sale during black friday which probably made them at least a couple hundred thousand bucks...

i ordered 2 kits from them and one bulb was bad and it took 1-2 months...but i was lazy on my part and didn't really care since i paid $40 for each kit...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR....my ballast is now flickering but i'm not even gonna try to replace it...fuq it

even though i ordered 6K and 8K they both look like 6K or less

wat's interesting is that they are posting on different forums, eg: LEXUS forums but not ours...and the post was recent...4/15/11...link (post #681) = http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ligh...review-46.html

i guess there are bigger idiots buying from them at the lexus forums...hahahaha...err...they didn't learn from everyone else

I believe that the OPS should ban them...make a post in the feedback/suggestions forum to the OPS...i think they check there more frequently

if the OPS don't ban them...maybe they are getting a kickback...or else part of hidextra...who knows????...these are just my thoughts

WAIT...MAYBE THE OPS DID BAN THEM AND THAT'S WHY THEY'RE NOT POSTING?????

*OPPS...I WAS WRONG...THEY'RE STILL LISTED IN THE VENDOR DIRECTORY

Poor quality bulbs, at least the h3 3k yellow bulbs that I purchased. One bulb illuminates a lime green color and the other one yellow. Car looks absolutely ridiculous. Their customer service is poor as well. Warranty policy is worst I've ever seen. Requires you cut wires a certain way, send pictures and then they'll decide whether or not they'll cover the issue.

So that we know it is not an isolated issue, I have a kit of a 92 Pathfinder in 6k but they flicker occasionally and sometimes one doesnt turn on at initial startup. I've had these for almost 1.5 years but, after dealing with them regarding my lime green fog discoloration, I rather cut my losses and choose a more reputable/customer focused vendor, even it if will cost me a few bucks more up front. Customer Service is priceless!

Just thought I'd share my feedback, in case anyone is wondering...

Yes I did, he finally called back and told me he would refund my money, that was weeks ago and now he won't return any calls, they are just looping me around again. No refund, still haven't gotten my bulbs. This is ****ING ridiculous.
