As per Nigel of Precision Brakes the deadline for the group deal is "the close of business on Friday 14 July as a firm end date.
Beyond this date, the price will revert to the regular price of $999.00."

From what I see, out of the original list of people in on this group deal, it seems the following people are still in (as far as the latest comments suggest).

crap..is there a way to put a downpayment on a set...and pay the remainder later?..i can put like 300 down..but i dont think i can come up with 800 in full by that date...if i dont pay..keep the 300..

China, Nigel of Prec. Brakes wrote this: "We require a deposit of half the kit price at time of order and will charge the remaining half and shipping at time of shipping. All kits will be shipped within three weeks of the close of the group buy."

So that means that you would have to pay the balance 3 weeks AFTER the close of the group deal which closes on July 14th. So the balance would be due around August 5th. If you can do this then reply to the post.

So we are at 8 now... Anyone else?? REMEMBER .... Nigel of Prec. Brakes said this group deal can include even 3rd and 4th gens. WE ONLY NEED 2 MORE PEOPLE....which reminds me Jer, what about your 2 local friends where you live, are they in???

If you would like to extend the group buy and maybe make the close date a week later, that would be OK. The only thing of which I would like to be sure, is a definite closing date. Once that date comes up, no more orders will be accepted at group buy prices. I have one order so far but no deposit. If you keep me informed of what is happening, that would be fine.

I'm ticked at Nigel in the first place - the 4th gens got the GD going with only 5 people!

maybe it's because this kit is brand new, just came out and the only solution for 5th gens right now for a decent price. you can always fall back on me if it doesn't go through i hope it does, my kit should leave tomorrow i hope. i called him today.

Once we have the full 10 people on board we will then, individually, call Nigel of PB and place the orders for our cars and provide him with a deposit of $400; which is 1/2 of the total due. You can speak with him as to what forms of payment they accept.
We have to make sure that all 10 orders are placed by the GD closing date of July 22 and Nigel stated that they require the deposits at the time you order. All brake kits will be shipped within 3 weeks of the close of the GD- which is July,22, They will then want the balance due at the time of shipping.

We are still 3 people short of the required 10. Jer, what happened to your 2 friends that live by you??

Nigel stated earlier that:
"We will accept orders within the same group buy for all generations of Maxima for which we have kits - third, fourth, and fifth gen"

It seems we have 8, but we can count people from 4thgen GD as per Nigel....so we should have enough as we stand. As far as credit cards I don't know. Just give Nigel a call and let us know what he says.....

i should finally have my kit tomorrow and i hope to put it on then too.

I PUT MY KIT ON AND ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW, the bleeder screws are a little tough to operate and i think i need to bleed them some more but WOW. no fade, the pedal does grab lower now that i have the lines and 4 pot calipers but again WOW. hammer the brakes at 60 and the car instantly skreaches to a halt, definelty recommended, i understand that the kits went up to 999 plus shipping adn i think the group deal went sour soooo... i can get them to you guys for 900 plus shipping, cash or check preffered.

Get up some photos of your setup. I unfortunately had to bow out of the GD since I found (by using the template that Nigel sent me) that the big brakes WOULD NOT fit the OEM 17x7 rims that I intend to use for the winter months.

Stillen here I come.....

you need 18 inchers just to fit these brakes?

They may fit other 17" rims but they will NOT fit the OEM 17x7s...not without a spacer anyway; which I am not willing to use.

it looks like it's gonna be close but i haven';t tried my stock rims yet. if i need a spacer oh well.
