Me wants one for my 3rd gen. Only thing is, when it rains it will act as a storm drain, and that will be right where my turbo goes>>>

The molder might already have a Maxima hood not sure where he got it from but saves us some trouble

also I'll ask the molder to cut a piece of black plastic to fit over the vent to block it off if you guys are worried about it I'm thinking a piece of black plastic with some silicone or rubber or something that would do a decent job of blocking off any water flow...

Check into the 3rd gens, even though they just did a group deal with that other company hehe...I would like to run that vent open in the summer and closed in the winter. It can do very good, or very bad.

I've talked to the molder about doing something for 3rd and 5th gens he said once he does the 4th gen GD he'll be willing to work on other GDs!

Are you taking deposits yet or anything like that? Do we have a final price? You might want to edit the first post to keep people up to date.

Thanks,
Erik

I'm in for the hood with that vent. That's the exact vent I've been looking for, and this would sure beat having it custom made which is what I've been shopping around for.

Washer nozzles should be a no cost option, we will get all that work out when we start ordering

hehe sorry its taking a long time, I wanted to find the right vent, make sure the quality was good and also to get some more info about his previous work.
I'm still working with him on a warranty because I think 1 year is barely adequate.

once the deal starts there will be about 1-2 weeks and about 2-3 hoods everyweek

be patient gota make sure everything is good and worth the omney we pay

thanks dude

I really started doing this because I didnt feel safe having that FI hood on there w/o hoodpins... not only was there the chance that something would happen but also if and when it did, FiberImages would **** me over and leave me hanging- just like they did and still are doing to Matthel
other reason was haha all the SoCal guys offering me money at every meet for my hood CF looks so good I couldnt really name a price but they kept asking! Now I'm glad I started looking into it this is one sweet lookin hood

hell no!! if you want em you can have em, and this time we will have a guarantee that they arent needed!

right now I'm making sure the molder notices the slight flare at the top of the hood that sort of covers the wipers on the 240SX I think we all would want that feature am I correct? it makes it looks more sleek

So you guarantee that at 140mph + speeds this hood wont fly up and crack my windshield? Will you or the company replace my windshield for free if this does happen and or any damage to the car?

That is probably part of the warranty he is working out. Also, see if you can make the hood a little more bulgy, so there is more engine bay room.
