Impressed

Well, I gotta give credit where credit is due. I pulled along side an 02' I30 yesterday and we had a little run. I have an auto 2K Maxima GLE. Not positive but I think his was auto. At any rate, he pulled on me pretty good. It put a smile on my face to see a sedan pull on my like that. Because, I know what my next purchase will be. This was in Austin TX. on the Ben White feeder road. So if your out there, nice ride. Until we meet again.

yes, it had to be an auto. If it was an 02 then it was an I35, and if you raced an I35 in your 00Max you did not stand a chance. Or you raced an 00-01 I30, which should not be any faster than your car.

It must have been an I35 then. Cause he pulled away really hard. I did not know they changed the model name. It was one of the Infiniti's that looks extremely similar to my Max (5th gen). I liked the partially wood steering wheel. I think I will go test drive one for grins sometime soon.

On another note, what type of rims are those on your car? I was looking at some Enkei's that were really similar to those.

They changed the model name when the engine went from a 3.0 to a 3.5, hence I30 and I35. The I30/35 manual tranny has not been available in years.

My rims are 17" ASA KA3's. I love the 10 spoke design, but they are pretty heavy. 23lbs. They are available at TireRack.

query about I30 5spd option

which generations or year models of the I30 came with the 5spd. manual option? and what engines were in those (litres, engine number/designation)? i assume that they must be uncommon.

Same as a maxima. 3.0 liter v6, 190hp 205lbs torque. VSLD was standard on the "T" model and optional on the "s" and "leather" models.
