Wood Dash Trim

How do I get it off? I would prefer a nice black dash. Heat gun?

Thanks,
Andrew

Are you thinking that you can peel off the wood trim or replace it??

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The aftermarket kits have the 3M double-sided tape holding the kit in place, so I thought the OEM was the same way.

Now, there's a thought, but I'll need to find someone who has climate control as well.

Hey, SY, I sent you an email earlier this week. Have you finished going through all your email since you came back from your trip?

I almost think that black would really cheapen the interior of the car... what else are you going to do to the interior?

Well, I'm not a big fan of wood dash. Besides, with a wood dash, it kinda "forces" you to find a shift **** that has some wood on it like the Momos, and they are never a "perfect" match. With a black dash, I can get a black **** and it'll look better. Right now, the current stock **** doesn't look too good, that's why i want to change it.

Keep your wood trim. Get a chrome shifter. It goes great with the door handles. Then throw on some chrome gauge rings and you'll be sporten. Here is a pick of my chrome shifter

Hey max5spd. I would really like to buy your wood dash piece. I know it must be the same that came in a 95 maxima GLE. If you are taking it off please sell it to me. E-mail me so we can talk. Thanks. Mike.

since this is sorta on topic, does anybody know how visible the stock wood trim is if you get an aluminum dash kit? im worried about the window switch area on the doors since the aluminum doesnt go into the little spaces. anybody have pics of this?
