Actually it's easy. At first I was having problems trying to get to it until I figured to remove the vents first. Check my home page for more pics.

These are the bulbs i am looking for.

How come you are changing the bulbs? did one blow out, or are you trying to change the color?

both of them blew out. i was wondering how to take out the dash and see what mods i can do. and i thought the light behind the clock was not as bright as speedometer. cant change the color because i dont think anyone carries that type of bulb. guess i need to go to the dealer now. answered my own question

where do you get the bulb sleeves from?

actually the bulb did have a plastic blue sleeve covering the bulb. i took it off to see if the filament was broke... and it was. you have to use a flat head screwdriver and go between the bottom vent and the cd slot and pop it out.
