Alarm lights

People with I30t and I35s,

When you set off your alarm do your headlights blink? If so, which are blinking?

Lowbeams?
Highbeams?

With my Philips Ultinon retrofit I noticed my alarm blinks the xenons. This repeating "on and off" cant be good for the bulbs or the ballasts.

I was thinking about a rewire to the highbeams and was wondering if anyone has done anything like this.

Any ideas? I dont really trust myself with electricity. I still have not done the fog rewire.

i will check as soon as i can...but why change the setup?...do you plan on setting off your alarm that often?...wouldnt you rather as much attention grabbed as possible while the alarm ringing?....id rather lose a xenon bulb than a car....just a thought but i will check in the morning.

only the parking lights flashes on my 2000. And I do believe that your xenon will burn out faster the way yours is set up, but i'm not 100% sure

Id rather not lose either! I want to rewire to the halogen high beams. I think those would grab plenty of attention.

Do you have the "t" Model with the Xenons? Also, yes, it is hard on the xenons to be turned on and off that quickly. That is why I want to change this.
