Springs for a 2000 I30

I just got some OZ's put on my car and it needs to be lowered before it will look right. If there is anyone out who has just done springs without new shocks please let me know. I have heard that this can dramaticlly change the ride quality. If it doesn't i would perfer to only put in springs because I like the ride the way it is and want to save dough where i can.

Thanks

the ride withs stock shocks/struts/dampeners (whatever you want to call them) will suffer. It won't be too bad at first, but they won't be able to stand up to lowering spring for long. Your going to be reducing ride quality with the 18's and lowering springs anyhow, so why make it worse with stock shocks? I say wait and do it all at once, especially if your paying for the install. If your doing the labor yourself it won't be that big of a deal, just know that your going to need new shocks soon.
