Hey guy's I got a 2000 i30. Two day's ago I was driving and I smelled something burning. Make a long story short after some smoke a fire started a small one. I got a chance to run into a store and got a fire extinguisher and put out the fire prior to any damage was done. Mechanic (NOT INFINITI DEALER'S) told me that they should not catch fire and smell like something is burning. I called the dealer to find out if that part was on recall they told me that it was not. Any idea how to or what to do in this situation? A side from replacing it at my cost. Future more does anyone know with a 2000 i30 or later model that had the same problem?
