Is there any difference in '03 I35 and '03 Maxima GLE other than ex/interior design?

Suspension and engine are the same. Can't say for sure whether the ECUs are...though since everything else is shared...I wouldn't see why not.
I35s with the sport package also came with VDC...something the Maximas never had.

This was a big discussion one time before. The Maxima GLE and I35 are pretty much the same vehicle, expect for the fact that the I35 is geared more towards the luxury asthetics. The I has 150-250lbs of dampening material more than the Maxima GLE, the exterior designs is more sleek, the I35 is slightly larger than the maxima (length, width, interior deminsions.), the I35 as Meta said has VDC on the sport package, the suspenion in the base I35 is more cushy than the Maxima and I can't forget the most obivious difference the leather in the I35 is supple and better soft to the touch.
The ECU is something that is constantly debated on, but truthfully I believe after driving all models of the Maxima and both the I35's (sport model and base) that there is a noticable difference in the programming. The I35 has a seamless transition of gears when driven (even when floored) the gear changes are hard to notice.
I would say the Maxima is the performance drivers car, and the I35 is the "don't like to follow the crowd" car.
