Thinner brake light?

does anyone know of a thinner alternative to our brake lights. im mounting my amp betweeen my rear spakers in the backseat and the brake light is in the way. only the top half mind you. the bottom will fit more or less perfect like just fit, but the top half wont let it fit.

i need an alternative for a brake light, and spoilers are out. you guys have any ideas. im open for suggestions, i want it to look good. and when i get tints you wont be able to see it so hopefully no theft.

I have been thinking about replacing my high mount brake light with an LED bar brake light. I saw a new 350Z today and was thinking about getting the high mount for one of those and mounting it along the bottom of my rear window on the rear deck.

My reason for doing this is beacause i have replaced all my rear signal and brake bulbs with LED's and now if I do the high mount stop with LED's then they all will be converted.

Hope this helped.

I'd like to have a long, thin brake light bar along the top of my windshield and totally remove the bottom mounted (stock) one.

Ooooh, I like the last 2. Now, if we think of a way to mount them whether on the deck or on the ceiling...drill and screws anybody? lol

When we swap trunks.. we can swap out the rear deck too.. so that I have a third brake light (to stay leagal).

you really cant mess with the moutning of a third brake light on a car. it has to pretty much stay there where it is now.

Sure you can. You can take out the whole rear deck, along with the third brake light and recarpet it and it would look like it was never there, but you need SOME type of alternative 3rd brake light ie. spoiler.

there are no real legal restrictions.. heehe.. long as u have sumthign in the middle between your two taillights.. u can even cut out and put it into teh trunk... long as it works.. when u press the brake.. that badboy has to light up...

yea. but ur rite.. you can place it like on ur hood on anything...

i made mine into a led light there..i used the factory thing.. u know the little doohicky that mounts onto the rear deck.. i opended it up and put a row of .. 5 big leds in there. looks like the g35 rear deck mountedlight.. its pretty nice.. very responsive to the brake.. hehe
