I35 Xenon Headlight Theft

I leased an I35 in Jan 2002. So far they have stolen my Xenon Lights (Factory Install) twice. Infiniti & Nissan plus their finance company both all say "tough luck" and will not help me out at all.

My insurance co advises this is last time they will pay .

I have a year left on my lease and the repairs to my car were
$8500 the first time and $5200 the second.

You would think since Infiniti are aware of this problem they would
at least let me out of my lease early but no.

So word of warning ... dont get Xenon Lights unless you enjoy
lots of trouble and financial strain.

I have not experienced this problem to date. This must be an issue that is going on in the Northern portion of the US.

He's talking about the stock HIDs on his I35. They take the whole headlight I'm assuming. You shouldn't have a problem if you have a 96.

Sorry to hear about your problem, but if you're interested, my friend works for Audi in the collection, and I can get you a pair of HIDs for $300 with the wires and stuff. All you'd have to do is install them. Let me know

Thanks Guys, but its a lease and they smashed the windows and bent the fenders to get them out.. they steal the whole housing and destroy the wiring harness too so its an expensive fix.

Actually there's been a case like this with a friend of mine and his BMW, his head lights were stolen/replaced without him askin for it nor giving the ok to mess with his lighting. So after the 2nd time it happened within 1 year he decided to install a digital memory video camera, finally it showed a technician was the one taking it and putting it into his tool box. My friend had a pretty sweet law suit and also gave me $500 for giving him the idea about the video camera, the total amount he sued for was somewhere in the $50,000 range.
Anyways I'd advise that if you're having problems that you cannot witness with your own eyes you should install a 360 degree camera for proof of problems that wasn't caused by you.

BTW this wasn't normal people stealing, this was a technician that worked for BMW @ their garage.
