this week my key just started giving me problems. i put the key in and it wont turn. i flipped the key on the other side and it turn first time. i thought maybe one side of key was just giving me problems. apparently it is something else because i just spent 5 minutes trying both sides of same key and i cant turn my ignition on. i am about to try my spare key but i just wanted to know if anyone has had/heard this problem or if anyone has any ideas/suggestions. thank you.
this is gonna suck if its a real problem because i am in mexico right now and i know theres a nissan dealer here but still....

 

wiggle the steeering wheel A LOT. Then see if you can turn the key. Mine does this to me all the time.

 

thanks. i tried the other key and the same happened so i figured it was the steering wheel, gear shift, brake...sh** something other than the key. i wiggled a lot and made sure the gear was completely parked and wiggled more and it worked. this just started happening though.
i guess if i have to run from anything or anybody soon, i better just leave the car or fight....this sh** only happens in the movies!

 

Happens on my car if the steering wheel is locked. Its been a while since its happened, but yeah wiggle it a lot. Why does it not let you start the car if the steering wheel is locked (turning it while the car is off)?

 

... no its not connected to the car being started.. its connected to the key in the steering.. like if they (the *** ****** ****** **** *** thieves) were to hotwire ur car they can steer if its locked.. but if its not locked then once car starts power steering picks it up and then u can turn steering.... i think.. correct my ignorant @ $ $ if im wrong..
