This this intake worth it for me to get for my 1996 i30?

My friend has a stillen intake from a maxima that he parted out and wants to sell it to me for a good price. It is a very short intake it is like; a pipe. air filter, and a small box poss. a airflow sensor. Now I have a few questions:

1) Is it intake worth getting for my 1996 i30?
2) How much power should I expect to get?

-Yes , if you get it for under $100. and get a k/n or apexi air cone filter while at it( VERY IMPORTANT !!!).Othe filters aren't good and don't give any gains in power.

-You get around 3hp from the intake and a nice growl at woot .

I didn't know the intake filter styles made a difference lol
Maybe I should take out my HKS replica APC filter out and get an K&N. But only if I find proof that cone filter is better than the HKS turbo type ones.

Yes you should change the replica.

Here is some info:
All these people use k&n for their high performance vq, maybe just coincidence? I don't think so.

The worth of an intake is in the eye of the beholder. The stillen is a good intake and the filter it comes with is fine. You will get 5-8hp from the intake so do the math and decide for yourself

Along with the gains, the sound you get is worth it for the right price... Not loud but definately more noticable.

Well my friend said he will let it go for $50, so I am guessing this is a good price?
