Bulb type?!

I forgot what bulb it is that we use in our Corner lights down the bottom when we use our Turn Signals...Are they 1157's or 1156's?! I need to pick these up this weekend.

So it's Front Sidemarker...194? Hmm...I could have sworn it was 1157 or 1156...Oh well, I guess I'll have to see if it's on the bulb then.

There are two bulbs that go into the stock turn signal housing. One is the larger 1157 that is the actual turn signal and the other smaller one is the 194 that is the side marker that just illuminates when the lights are on.

Oh aight...well what about the Signal Light that doesn't blink, but illuminates for turning corners...Damn, I guess I'll just have to see if it's on the bulb. Hopefully I can do it this weekend.

MAX, I think that bulb on the bumper (I call it the cornering light) is the 1156. Here is my reason. If the actual turn signal is a 1157, then it has two contact points on it which allows it to light up and then when you activate the turn signal, it blinks.

Since the bulb you are looking for does not light up and then blink, I think it is the OTHER number bulb, which is the 1156.

Did that make sense? I will check the bulb on my car tonight for you and post here for you.

Oh... youre talking about the light down in the corner on the bumper... not the actual turn signal light next to the head light.

Anyway, the bulbs that are our Turn Signals have 2 prongs on the bottom of them adn they are #1157 SO, you ned 1156 for your Cornering bulb. Good luck with it.

I bought a set of EUROLITE Blue Super White 8500K Bulbs -- standard 9004's -- on Ebay that are really nice. Now, I don't know if they can actually put out 8500K, but they are a lot brighter and cleaner than the Silverstar's I've used before. I paid $9 for the pair. Just an FYI.

Does anyone know the fog light type for an I35? Is it 9006? I tried Sylvania's lamp replacement guide, but it didn't mention fog light. Thanks in advance

I just had the dealer replace one. $59.55 for the lamp, $40.16 labor. Ouch, found the sylvania lamp online for $3.95 (probably $10 shipping)after the replacement.
If it wasn't -20'F wind chill I would have tried to do it myself.
The power steering belt and compressor belts were $29.50 each.
$60 for a bulb

Can somone tell me how i get to my tail light bulbs? the trunk section and the quarter panel section. Turn signal and reverse lights need to be replaced. Thanks in advance and hope everyone had a good new years! edit: tail light bulb size reference would be much appreciated as well.

also
1. Why cant i make new threads?
2. There are some links in the DIY section that are bad. meaning i was linked to another thread of another topic, that is why i had to ask my question here.

1. You need 15 posts, so go around forum and contribute
2. Common because stickies have not been updated
3. Try not to thread jack in future, especially a FIVE year old thread post your questions here:

http://forums.maxima.org/infiniti-i3...on-thread.html

But to answer your questions, for reverse light, you need to remove the trunk lid lining but first taking off the push tabs. Then just twist out old bulb, insert new, twist back, replace lining. Same principle for turn signal.

I replied to this old thread because some guy decided to post how he overpaid for a light bulb and I was subscribed it to it....from 5 years ago.

As for the push tab, takes a Philips head screw driver, turn the tab counter clockwise about a quarter, the center should pop up, then use your finger and pull out. You should be able to leave the cargo net on for the turn signal change.
