my lights have gone out 2 times since owning the car in the last 5 yrs (2001). I jus decided to bring it to the dealer and have them do it. At infiniti of nashua its cost me 12 with the labor. I think this was better spending the extra few not to **** something up because i dont kno much about inside lights

it actually wasn't really too hard to do. just open it up, unscrew some stuff, replace bulbs, screw back, snap cover on. Takes like 10 minutes. But 12 dollars isn't too bad

THANK YOU.

I went to that site , and they list like 17 different kinds of lights. Which one fit the 2000 I30 analog clock?

Read exactly the post you quoted, then go back and actually look at the site.

Has anyone tried the blue LED from Autolumination.com. The reason I asked, is because the original bubles in the clock are blue, but when they light up they somehow look white. I just placed an order for the super white, and I was wondering if I should have gotten the blue LED's.

A blue LED will be VERY blue because the LED emits pure blue light. The stock bulbs use a blue cover to filter out the yellow light emitted from the bulb, thus looking white.

Makes sense to me! Now I can't wait to see the new LED's in there, can't wait...I made a mistake and go one regular OEM bulb to replace my one burned out one, well, that made a big difference compared to the other older bulbe and made it look to bright on one side....so point to the story, replace bulbs in pairs on your clocks!

Have your vision checked or use your browser's find function because I see what I posted word-for-word on the Autolumination site.

How about you read for once in your damned life and see that I already said it was about 1/3 of the way down.

Everyone else who's seen this thread has found it; why are you the special case that can't?

I looked 5 minutes ago and it's just where I said it was, and has the EXACT word-for-word description I posted. If you can't find it from there then you've got worse problems than your clock lights being out.

I believe the light switches are LEDs built into the circuit board. Not too sure about the others, but check the 5th gen forums and use the search function. I changed my light switches by using 3mm LEDs i had lying around. Couldn't have done it without Metal Maxima's HOW TO guide so props to him.

To those of you that wanna find the replacement bulbs for your analog clock, here is a nice website that carries any bulb you need.

http://autolumination.com/74.htm

Scroll down to the middle 'til you see Neo Wedge TypeB. You can get either LED or filament type. I got the super white LED. IMPORTANT: It must be TypeB or it won't fit in! Prices are good, I just bought 4 pairs of them~lol...

Hey I have a question. Do you have an aftermarket steroe? My clock and SOME of the A/C control lights went out after I switched over the stereo to a Pioneer face plate. The harness didn't hook up the power to the old setup correctly. I lose steering wheel controls also.

Hello Guys,
My AC light and clock bulbs need to be replaced, so I followed all the instructions in here to get them replaced, but I am stuck at AC light replacement part. I hope someone can help me out. I was able to remove RADIO-A/C Unit as one piece, but don't know where the bulbs are for AC and I can't separate AC from Radio the screws seem to got stuck. Here is the pictures to show how far I got.(used my phone at night)

Please, someone help me out.

AXD,

Two things... first, can I suggest you edit your previous post and resize your photo it sorta throws things out of whack.

As for how to get to the bulbs -- I did a little how-to writeup not too long ago. Check it out:

I replaced the clock lights in mine a couple of weeks ago, I hadn't even realized that the clock was supposed to light up.

Is it normal for the bulbs to feel like they barely fit? They fell back out shortly after I had replaced them and I had to put some tape behind them to keep them in place. I guess it doesn't help that the roads around my job are especially bumpy but I was surprised.

I just completed a writeup (different from the one in the link I posted a few days ago) showing how all this is done. Now I'm trying to find a place to post it!

Until then, If anyone would like a copy of these instructions, send me a PM and I'll send it your way.

Hey guys just a heads up, I bought 2 LED bulbs from autolumination a few weeks ago and I got green (to mach with the green bose and climate control). I put them in an realized the clock's green is COMPLETELY different from the bose and climate control to the point where it makes the bose and climate control look more turquoise than green.
Bothered me a little so I just ordered 2 super white LED bulbs.
WILL POST PICS AS SOON AS I GET THEM IN THE MAIL

Being that this post is several years old, it seems as though the autolumination site has changed a bit. Can you point me in the direction of where these bulbs are currently located? I see "Japanese OEM Neo - Wedge LED Instrument Panel Bulbs Type A, B & C" listed. Are these the type (B) that I need to fit the clock or no? Thanks!

Yup, use neo wedge type B for the clock.
