I used Japanese Super White and I think it's the best option

I just ordered the "SuperStar 30% brighter" ones. I hope they turn out good after I install them. By the way, can anyone tell me if these Type B bulbs are the same size used in the a/c unit?

Japanese and 30% brighter bulbs look exactly the same.

I think its the same bulbs, but not 100% sure on the AC controls

Scroll down to the middle 'til you see Neo Wedge TypeB. You can get either LED or filament type. I got the super white LED. IMPORTANT: It must be TypeB or it won't fit in! Prices are good, I just bought 4 pairs of them~lol...
Thank you! I ordered and installed the same bulb. Sorry for the bad quality pic.

Glad I found this thread because mine doesn't light up and was wondering if it should. hey NHMAX603 it's easy to take out. Pop out the a/c vent panel then you'll see two screws holding down the panel on top of the dash. Once that is off two screws bolt the clock onto the that top panel. Atleast that's how it is on my '00 I30

Great thread!

Based on the reviews, I'm definitely getting LEDs and going with the Super White color. Can anyone comment on the brightness of the LEDs they bought? I'd like mine to be close to stock... a little brighter would be nice, but I don't want it to be blindingly bright.

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but does anyone know what type of bulb the vanity lights in the visor mirrors need? I replaced the dome, step, and trunk lights, with the map light bulb on the way. Sylvania and the owner's manual don't show what type is needed. If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it!

I just completed the install of my LEDs. I used the link above and bought the "Japanese OEM Neo - Wedge LED Instrument Panel Bulbs" in hyper white. They were the ones that weren't advertised as being "brighter than <insert other bulb type here>". Overall, I'm very pleased with the way they turned out. In the pictures, the clock looks much bluer than the rest of the dash, but in reality it is just very white. The dash lighting definitely has a green tint to it, but I'm digging the white clock so far. I have no idea how bright the stock bulbs are on this car (mine never worked since I bought it) but I think mine's pretty close:

Just did my clock, looks great, but does the HVAC section have a green filter to make the numbers that green? Or is it the stock lighting? Because i know its possible to switch those bulbs out too.

Dis guy did it bt he had to rig one into it, idk if I Wana do that yet

Question:

Which bulbs did you use for the Dashboard and the Instrument Panel for your I35?

Thanks

Had to change one of my bulbs the other day after the third time of taking my dashboard apart. First time I was curious if I could pull the bulb out of the grey holder but found out I couldn't. Second time I had ordered a set of bulbs off eBay but they for some reason did not fit into my clock. Before I ordered I checked at my dealer and the guy told me there were two part numbers, and of course my car must have had the version different. So I gave in and got it at the parts counter at the dealer I work at and it cost me $10.
