Most effective and easy to install intake?

Any opinions on which intake to buy- short, ram, cold air intake?

Which brand?

Price?

Realistic HP gain?

Your experience?

Search is your friend. And you can't go wrong with either the Berk or Frankencar intake.

Don't get a ram air, I have heard they are horrible. I would get a cold air with the fender cutout if you get one, cheap ebay one.

I just went and got the largest cone filter that they had at autozone. My car actually got marginally faster and now has a sucking and whisteling noise that always makes me smile.

Did you install with any piping or straight on to manifold?

Straight on the manifold???? are you kidding.....You need the mid pipe, IAVC, MAF and hoses to work with no codes or problems. Cold air intake might give you 5 hp, but that is pushing it. The air will be colder and less restricted with a cold air intake over stock. There are instructions for this and other setups on motorvate and the org.
