Hey guys. I'm going to replace my HU of the bose system in my 2001 I30. I usually order my car audio stuff from crutchfield. When i called to order the CD player, they told me there was no dash kit for this year make and model. My question is wouldn't the 2001 maxima dash kit work? as its basicly the same car, because they do have one for the max. I previously owned a 2000 Maxima SE. and they radio controls almost look identical. Just curious if the max kit would definitly work for our cars. Any conformation on this would be greatly appreciated

 

They are different, the center vents have a different design, and I believe the sides that surrounds the Bose are different as well. Try contacting Sy, he might be able to get you one from overseas.

 

Ok cool, so the max set up won't work. Contact Sy? Not sure who that is. So what has everyone else used for a mounting kit for a 00-01 I30 when replacing the bose headunit with an aftermarket one? I know there's gotta be some guys on here that have already done this. Pls help!

I have matching Wood Grain Dash Kit for I35 and I30 Dash Kits. I no longer carry the other Dash Kit (colored in between I30/I35 the cheaper version).
This new Dash Kits are perfect (99% close match on wood grain color).
