I don't have a system yet but in a couple weeks I will. I have a red top already. When I have AC running with my stock system (with AVIC D1 Double Din) at idle my lights dim and windows are extremely slow. It shows the same signs if an alternator going as it did last time.

You can usually get your stock alternator rebuilt to output more amps, but back in the day when I was big(ger) into car audio a bunch of folks used http://www.mralternator.com/ with success.

My guess is that most ebay and even other oem replacement alternators (Napa, Autozone, etc...) are based on the 100 amp Maxima alternator. So, as long as you an I30 alternator from Nissan, you should be good.
