Y-pipe Installation Problem

Y-pipe Installation Problem
So I took my car to the shop today, to get the UR UDP installed, and my HKS tips extended, and thought it would be a good idea too, to let them install my stillen Y-pipe. Well turned out they won't do it. Neither would the three other shops I asked at. "Tampering with a federal emissions device" or some crap like that. Did anyone else run into problems like that? Looks like I gotta get under the car myself later on. Don't look forward to loosening those bolts.

Well well well, I ended up working on it all day and finally got it done. Tooke me a couple hours, laying under lowered cars sucks! Was a royal PITA. And I think i have exhausts leaks now, the nice mellow tone of only the HKS went to a ridiculous loud roaring and i am hearing a really high pitched noise too. Soo I need to get that checked out pretty soon.
The muffler shop charged $190 to cut my rear valence, extend the muffler tips, put the rear section on and slap on the Unorthodox UDP, so I can't complain about that.
and @KRRZ350
are you implying you are local? =D
Cos i need someone to check if I have leaks, and fix em, i'm not getting under that again. (for a while)

Unfortunatly I am not :-( Best way to find leaks is to get under there when it is running and cold. An automotive stethescope (VERY useful $12 tool) with part of it unplugged so it is just the earpeice and hose, can help pinpoint them a little easier as well. It's possible the front flanges aren't anywhere near fully seated.
Just a quick word about safety as well (And I feel your pan about lowered cars) You always want to use the proper jack and jackstand points in the FSM (engine x-member + pinch welds) and once the car is on jackstands rock it back and forth hard a few times, better it fall on the ground than fall on you.
