100K tune-up tips

At 98K, my I35 will be due for a tune-up soon. AFAIK, a tune up on this car involves the following:

1. Plugs
2. boots that link plug to coil
3. Coils (optional, if needed only)
4. Air filter
5. Flush injectors and/or engine (if needed)

Notes:
1. I know a fuel filter change is not needed, as it is built into the gas tank
2. Engine flush was done late last year to solve a rough start issue; Injectors have been done once at ~70K
3. Had to replace plug and coil #6 in 2007 when the coil blew on me. All others ore original
4. Transmission flushed last year, as scheduled

So....

Is this list comprehensive, or what may I be missing here? Also, anyone in the STL area good with the cars that may be willing to help me do the tune up at home? Finally, looking at the TSBs, and the miles on the car, I'd appreciate someone helping me look the car over carefully to spot other potential trouble spots or things that may need replacing, whether through a TSB or not.

In my opinion if its called a filter then the dirt and particles are building up somewhere. There are many opinions about the topic on the fuel filter.I changed mine but thats because Im so meticulous about my car.

I would get an Amsoil Ea air filter from the Group Buy section, new plugs, but skip flushing the injectors. Also would change the in-cabin air filter and fuel filter. Since you are burning oil, I would imagine your rear valve cover is cracked, so get a new 6th gen one with new gasket from Dave B just in case.

Thanks all for the input. A few follow-ups:

1. I'm assuming that these Amsoil air filters are better than the K/N panel filter I already have, right?
2. Just picked up a new cabin filter from AutoZone. This one comes in two pieces, whereas the stock one is one piece. WTF?
3. Based on the above, looks like I can leave the coils alone, right? But, I'd still need to change the boots between the plugs and the coils, right?
4. re: valve cover, I'm not visibly leaking oil, so I'm thinking I don't need that. Also, how does a 6th gen valve cover bolt right onto a 4th gen motor?

1. Much better, in terms of filtration and maintenance.
2. Normal, my OEM replacement was also two pieces.
3. Don't know sorry, but coils can stay unless malfunctioning.
4. We have a 5.5 gen which is a 3.5 so we can use the updated and better designed valve cover.

Great, thanks for the quick feedback! So, who is this "Dave B" character, and where do I get a valve cover from him? I don't see a GB thread...
