Car Totalled: Please Help w/info...

As some may know, I RECENTLY purchased a 2001 I30 off a fellow .orger and it was totalled last week by a young boy who rear ended me. Allstate appraised it low, but that's not my issue and they are allowing me to pull off some things like the aftermarket plug'n play HID kit, Injen CAI, all season floor matts, and 18" 350z touring rims/tires.

My question is this....I must of course replace the mags with comperable stock component. They are going to permit me to replace the 18" mags with 15" aluminum Nissan Maxima wheels. DO 15" WHEELS FIT the I30 or are they too small? I am looking to use a set of 15" wheels from my '89 Maxima. Will they fit over the calipers?

THANKS!

Hey Chris....I've got your answer! Yes, 15" wheels do fit the Infiniti I30. Good luck and sorry to hear about things. Hope you find another nice ride soon!

Oooops, there I go talking to myself again!?

^lmaoo, so do they fit? They should, considering the 4th gen had the same size brakes and it came with 15s (correct me if I'm wrong).

Yeah, my response was factual (albeit purposefully intended to be humorous). I had just come from the autobody yard having swapped the 15" onto the Infiniti and removed all the parts I wanted (ie. floor matts, Injen CAI, HID, and mags).

I had simply had the car too little a time (two weeks total) to learn about the disc and caliper sizes. My understanding is that the smallest size on the 5th/5.5th gen Maxima and Infiniti's of the same years were 16" and up. There was also a 16" full size spare in the trunk. So, my fear was that 15" would not fit. Like I said, the 15" fit perfectly and I even moved the vehicle a little. So, yes, 15" do fit the Maxima/Infiniti of these years.
