Question about a 2000 I30t

I am looking to buy one tomorrow. I noticed that the check engine and Slip lights were on. I know about the check engine lights in these cars, but I never had to deal with a Slip light. Anyone have an idea of what it could be? Thanks in advance

The two lights work in sync with each other if im not mistaken. Figure out what the check engine light is and report back and we can tell you if it's related to the slip light.

The check engine light is off now, but now the slip light does not light when I start the car. When I hit the TCS OFF button, nothing lights up on the dash. Any ideas?

IMHO, find another car. Dude, doesnt want you to see the CEL, he probably pulled the battery for a few hours to clear the codes or pulled the bulbs for tcs and cel

^Agreed. Mine is the touring version so it doesn't have the button to turn the traction control on our off, but I have never seen the SLIP light since new. umm, there are others out there, take your time finding the right one.

Damn, bought the car. He took my old car, which is a BIG reason why I dealt with him. The Service Engine light comes on when I start the car and goes away, the Slip light doesn't. I don't have a manual yet, so I don't know what other lights are supposed to be there. I'm taking it to the mechanic tomorrow and having him run a diagnostic on it. Keeping my fingers crossed. BTW, the car is a 2000 I30t with 100,000 miles and I paid $4000 for it($3000 cash and my 00 Max, which he gave me a $1000 for)

TCS was an option on all I30s, normal or touring. So if it wasn't equipped with it, you won't have a switch to turn it off. Also means that you must not have heated seats either

Also, would a OEM sunroof deflector from a 00 Max fit this car? I know this is a bit OT. If this is not the right place to ask, I apologize.

Not necessarily. You needed to have heated seats to get TCS, but you can have heated seats without TCS.

Anyone know if the OEM sunroof deflector from a 2000 Max would fit this car? Don't mean to be a pain, just don't think starting a new thread would make sense.
