I have an '03 I35. I'm in the process of removing the front timing chain cover to fix the infamous tensioner guide problem. I am doing this without dropping the engine. It's been an ordeal but I have managed so far - thanks to a couple of videos I found on YouTube, especially those by 2012nugget (kudos to him).

I have literally one bolt left to remove before I can pull the cover off, and that's the power steering pump bolt. The head of the bolt is on the engine side and I'm not able to get a socket on it. Anyone who has done this job will know what I'm talking about. The FSM or the videos are no help in this. Boy, talk about a tight space. You can barely see this bolt much less reach it, or get a socket on it.

I am really hoping someone has a trick that I can use.

That sounds like the bolt used to adjust the belt tension.
