Power Steering Suction Hose?

Ok well my power steering fluid is leaking, my high pressure hose is wet so I figured ok it's that, common problem anyway.

But my Suction hose (the silver webbed thing) coming out of the reservoir is wet too...

You think it's leaking out of both? It doesn't leak very fast but I was wondering if I need a specific hose for that or can I just use any hose? I'd like to replace them both just to make sure.

Thanks!

I'm sure any hose would do. I bought mine off eday for cheap. All 3 of my maximas had that hose leak

That's the hose I was talking about, can I just go to like a auto parts store and get a long enough hose to replace it?

Use a real clamp at the top and it won't leak.

Was the return hose easy to replace?

What a nasty mess. First clean it all so if you do anything you'll know if it was effective. Before you get crazy with replacing lines check the conection of the supply line (big one) at the reservoir. If the supply line is wet at the reservoir that's probably a lot of the problem. At least put a hose clamp on it, maybe empty the reservoir and clean it up nice for a good seal.

^ I meant clean up the connection. The nipple on the reservoir and the end of the hose. Not the reservoir itself.

Yes, that would help.

It's a known problem. Virtually all of them have this problem due to the bull**** clamp. If it's not leaking already, the return hose will start soon.
