Power loss after Cai install

2000 i30

I installed an Injen air intake and am having serious power loss issues. I'm not sure what it could be. I am getting code p0171 and it idles poorly. Bogs down during acceleration also. I'm not sure if there could be a vacuum leak, tho I don't hear any hissing. The fit wasn't great for this setup and I cut the pipe shorter.

I unplugged the maf while idling and it died, I thought it was supposed to stay running. When stopped it idles better in neutral then in drive holding the brake pedal. I reset the code and it didn't come back yet. But drivability is ****.

Not sure if matters but I had to buy the hoses from Napa. The 16mm long hose is heater hose because no one has a vacuum hose that big.

have you tried re installing the OEM airbox? if it still does it with the OEM airbox you forgot a hose or the MAF is having issues, if its fixed then theres something with the CAI install. Nissan MAF are very sensitive
